My name is normally O-T, but here it cannot be, because the character is not whitelisted. But why is that? A lot of names actually include a dash, like Jean-Marie, and a lot more. While we're on this, why not add the " . " character too on names, for last names that are too long for example. Doing all this we could also whitelist " ~ ".

TL;DR: Let us use the characters " - ", " . " and " ~ " in our usernames!

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Maybe when you make your account you can't add these characters but when you change your username you can and when staff go through username requests they can either choose to allow or disallow?

I've added - and . to the regular expression.

Accepted, thanks for the suggestion.
