What else is there to use aside from WHMCS for selling dedicated & virtual servers?

I'm a big fan of Blesta. Check them out.

Their software is 99% open source too, which is awesome. The only things that aren't open is the licensing code.

If you can't afford WHMCS, then you shouldn't be running a hosting provider.

It's simple.

Have you considered that just potentially the person isn't fully satisfied with WHMCS and looking for better alternates that might suit them?

Anyways, Blesta was decent when I tried it, but WHMCS was the best for hosting in my books just many people use it so its much easier to integrate into many things. The only other one I remember was a host who designed a custom system from the ground up (to my knowledge), but not sure how good it was but it worked to their liking.

Edit: Also, I forgot about BoxBilling, I looked into them before and used it for a bit and worked decently back then (like 4 years ago).
