Harrison unless I’m missing something, this is already something WHMCS can do, without an add-on.

It’s always worked whenever I have used it. How strange, are you using a legitimate WHMCS license/download?
WHMCS can do that within themselves tbh.
If you want I could try setting it up for you to what you want, it's the best thing to get done rather than getting an addon which does the same stuff.
