Heyo,
I'm curious, do you guys think there is a market for a WHMCS theme that is completely focused on game hosting? Yes, I know there are many WHMCS themes that can do a similar job, but not the way I had in mind.
I'm a fairly experienced Pterodactyl theme developer and have worked on several WHMCS themes. Now my plan is to make a WHMCS theme that has an identical look to a Pterodactyl theme that I will make. With this, game hosting providers can offer a much better experience.
The theme will be top notch, meaning it will have many customisation options to make your site look unique. I will also make it easier than ever to add images and icons to the package without touching any code. With this huge project, all you need as a hosting provider is a WHMCS licence and Pterodactyl. No need to make a landing page with your plans and then redirect to your WHMCS, which in most cases is the same theme.
But now my question is, with the right amount of documentation and customisation options, will this theme even work? Like, almost every hosting provider uses a landing page, and WHMCS is in most cases at billing.example.com. Is this because there aren't many WHMCS themes that meet the requirements? Or is it because people like to keep the billing area and the actual landing page on 2 different domains?
I would like to hear your opinion, have you ever started a hosting provider, could you please explain to me how you made the billing area and the landing page.
Thanks for your time!
