I come from a wealthy, VERY right wing family, and have come to this conclusion about the political system and parties as I near voting age.

So here's what I think most (if not all) of us can agree on:
  • Democrats have no clue how to run an economy.
  • Republicans know how to run an economy.
  • Republicans have f***ing stupid social stances...
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the exact reasons that these two parties need to be stopped. It's like the majority of the population can agree on almost all criteria, yet we're still divided based on how we prioritize economy over social issues and vice-versa.

And that's why i'm Libertarian.

I'd also like to enter a snippet of my dad's thoughts:

He's obviously pro-gay marriage, abortion, etc. and follows closely with democratic social stances, but chose to be a republican because of the state of the economy. All of you may be blindly supporting HIGHER taxation on the rich, but believe it or not, he already pays 65% of everything he makes to the government in order to support the welfare system, etc. He has no problem paying that much tax, and does agree with making wealthy people pay more than normal, everyday citizens.

But how much is too much? The more and more the government taxes my dad and the rest of the "1%", the less of a desire they have to work so hard to make that much money in the first place. Might as well just go work in the call center and get taxed a tiny fraction of that... maybe he'll make the same amount of money working in the call center compared to being CEO. (after taxes!) The scale that the gov. needs to balance is this:
  • Keep the incentive to keep working alive for wealthy people while at the same time not making them pay too much.
  • After all, the wealthy people are paying for most of the countries taxes and functions... and we would all be honestly screwed if they decided it wasn't worth the effort to keep working. (If they're not working their high-paying jobs... the government makes no money!)
I tried to make that non-confusing... but probably didn't explain it very well. I sincerely do want to hear your arguments against me, (or for me.) <3

Anyone that's not Hillary Clinton. Being from Ohio, I just love my Gov. but I don't think he'll win. Tbh Trump is reminding me of something very Rageanesque ;)

So you want people who work at Walmart to starve to death?
No... and i never said that.

But the more they tax the rich, the less reason we have to bother working... And if we're not working to pay for walmart employees food, then nobody is.

Like if you tax the poor more, they won't have money for groceries and heat.
I don't think you understand my point... hrm...

I don't want the poor to pay more taxes. I don't want the upper class to pay more taxes. My dad already wants to quit his job, and making him pay more money in taxes doesn't exactly encourage him to keep working for less and less money.

I mean, if we lose rich taxpayers like my dad, the government loses the ability to pay for the poor's groceries and heat.

That's not the point. Lol. You realize that there are tons of people on government assistance that are hard working and trying to make it by, single mothers in low-income neighborhoods, the elderly, etc. But what about all the people selling their benefits for cash and then proceeding to buy drugs.

To be honest, what needs to happen has nothing to do with taxes (tho you can get me into how taking the Business Class only creates more need for lower wages and layoffs to maintain profits), but rather reform the system as a whole. If you didn't know, the Federal Assistance Programs were created during WWII by President Roosevelt to help people in the struggling economy (AKA the New Deal, you probably learned about it in the 10th grade). This system wasn't supposed to stay, but it did. It's sadly outdated, mismanaged, and badly budgeted.

Relieve taxes on the Business Class, create more decent Middle-Class jobs (say $50,000-$125,000/year), and thus leave the Lower-Class to withhold jobs such as Cashiers, Fast-Food workers, etc.

FORREAL THO ECONOMICAL POLITICS IS SO COMPLICATED LIKE WTF WE TALKING ABOUT IT ON A FORUMS FOR A BLOCK GAME XD

YES!

BTW: Trump would be so much better than Clinton, it would be hilarious. What's the worst he can do?
