That is not what he wants to do, he wants to stop illegal ones from entering america (not paying taxes, etc)

Like how can you complain about this guy, in these sort of ways, if you don't even know him.

he's worth $4 billion? last I checked that was his estimate of his own worth, valuing his own brand at a lot. Then again that was a democratic source, so it may not be reliable.

Anyway as a non Us citizen I prefer sanders, simply because hes the least likely to do anything to cause WWIII

anyway, here's an argument on taxation.

I've checked it out, and the taxation in, say, germany, goes up to 45%. In the US it goes up to 39.6%
The main difference is where the thresholds are.
in the US it starts at 10% for anything up to $9000 something
In germany you're except from income tax if your income is lower than 8000-something euro.
next bracket, US, 15% up to $34K. Germany 14-24% for 13K-52K, linear progression.
ETc etc
US goes up to 400-something thousand, germany up to 250K or so.

Yet Germany has almost alll of the things Sanders wants to implement, and more. and if an extra tax class was added onto the 400K one in the US, I'm pretty sure he'd be able to fund a lot of it already (considering the amount of millionaires and billionaires in the US, having a a tax class above 400K with, say, 45% will generate hundreds of millions.



Anyway, Taxation is and always will be a problem. The largest problem with tax systems is that the simple ones are extremely unfair (a poll tax (same amount of money whatever the income) is extremely unfair to the poorer citizens), but the fairer ones start becoming so complex that a significant portion of the money goes to the running of the tax department, and nobody, not even the ones running it, really understand what they're supposed to pay and what they can get returned anymore.
Only reason this is currently working still is because computers can do a lot of the work.


Also, I wonder if US citizens would object to taxes being raised if the US was at war with, say, half the middle east (not just one or 2 countries). Or another cold war began, causing an arms race (probably in the cyber department) to intensify between world powers.
