You can toggle light/dark theme with the light bulb in the top right.
You change change then color theme of the default blue to whatever you want by going to User Menu -> Preferences -> My Color

This is caused by an issue with our ads manager system that makes it so that every time a new sidebar square or bottom bar banner is created, it doesn't remember the user view requirements. We'll be developing our own ads manager for our XF2 migration, but in the meantime, we are manually changing the settings each time.
