I can only assume since they tend to be, at least in the cases I've seen, to be low-effort or ways to just make a quick buck off an already well-known method. This seems to be the case on most forums having methods and e-books, and I can see why they'd not want it here..

Many require so much work/time that it's not worth it and the sellers overprice them. It's a scam prevention in a way.
Most methods are also already public; another scam prevention.
Some are also illegal and, without knowing the full method, staff are unable to determine whether or not they are indeed legal or not.

same reason as nfa mc accounts, to prevent the most common scams to sour up this community.
There are other sites that offers a place for methods, do it there

It was mostly inspired by a large server owner, that I can't remember off the top of my head and I can't be bothered to check his name, selling a "how to make your server popular" e-book/method for $50 that contained super basic information as far as I recall. That basically brought an end to both ebooks and methods after a general agreement by the community was established that they shouldn't be allowed. That and an excuse to get a refund for their overpriced common knowledge which probably wouldn't even be much use to a new server owner.
