So I just got a dispute from some feedback person positive feedback btw saying that he going to delete my positive feedback back from all the way from dec 2018 because I did not put sufficient proof. Why would I still have that information tho and what’s the big deal it’s a rep from 2018 and positive I don’t have that information anymore and why should it be deleted. What do you guys think ??

You do know this will affect you also right since some of your reviews don’t have proof

What if someone had some neg reps with proof we have to get our rep up not all reps have proof but if you updated your terms of rules before the end of 2018 why are dec 1 reps being affected[DOUBLEPOST=1573043351][/DOUBLEPOST]

If this is so all reps in January 2019 after this was put in place should be affected

Ever since the new Reputation System was put into place, all Feedback, including older feedback, users give are required to abide by the rules below:
REPUTATION SYSTEM RULES
The following rules apply to the use of the reputation system on MC-Market
9.1 Do not give reputation which is not truthful, relevant and informative.
9.1.1 Do not make any claims within your review which you are not also providing conclusive evidence to prove.
9.1.2 Do not include a member's usage of the reputation system within your own review.
9.2 Do not accuse members of scamming without linking a scam report on that member which you have started.
9.3 Do not hint, suggest, request, or imply in any way, a specific reputation rating upon yourself or another member.
9.4 Do not use reputation as a currency, reward, condition, incentive, threat or deterrent.

If you're unaware on how to leave constructive feedback or you would like to know more about the Reputation System, you can visit the Reputation wiki for more information.

Here's a post by Justis stating the reason feedback from banned users are removed: https://www.mc-market.org/threads/512088/#post-4100812

They remove rep that doesn't show proof of a transaction? wut
We remove feedback that does not follow the rules stated above. Depending on the claims made in the feedback, a proof of transaction can serve as evidence. Evidence is required for all claims stated on user's feedback.

Feedback Moderators deal with reported feedback. Each reported feedback is sent to the queue for Feedback Moderators to either resolve or reject based on the validity of the report. If you dispute your feedback then it is the same thing as reporting it but the dispute is created by you instead of by the Feedback Moderator. Although it is upsetting that only your positive feedback was reported, you still have the option to create a dispute on neutral/negative feedback. We don't single out positive feedback. The feedback that is reported, we tend to. It is impossible for us to go through every member's feedback and moderate each one which is why we rely on users to report the content that is violating our rules.

If a user's feedback, who is not banned, was deleted, and neither of you were given the opportunity to provide evidence, as that is what most feedback is reported for, then you should create a support request about it. It would not be fair to users who are willing to find and provide evidence for the feedback and not given that option.

I just think it’s unfair because sometimes we get neg reps and removing our good rep is making our score fall all of us bust our asses to get reps to get our score up so why attack old Positive rep ‍♂️Reps before your update it was not a requirement before Jan 2019 so why would you expect people to do something in 2018 that was not in place. Also this rule is just being taken seriously it’s November

Just asking, why would a new rep system have a negative effect on old reputation?
That the new rep system will change rep from now on, okay fair. But why would you make old rep invalid?!

I believe Justis gave a great explanation as to why old feedback needs to be updated.
In the old system, if a false claims report was received we would initiate a dispute and ask for evidence in order to prove those claims to be true, however, more often than not, evidence of the claims no longer existed. That was a problem.
Our current system allows and requires the evidence be stored within the feedback, which solves that problem for all new feedback.
Even though the old system did not have the requirement to provide evidence with the feedback, it doesn't change the fact that it was still necessary to be provided in the case of a dispute. The new system allows all users, not just staff, to see why a user received a specific feedback rating from another user without having to question whether it was valid or not. Providing evidence was not a new concept that followed with the new system. With the new system, it is now necessary to upload conclusive evidence to the feedback itself rather than having to prove it in a dispute conversation to a Moderator. Although it is annoying that users now have to gather up the evidence and upload them to the feedback to make their old feedback valid, it was something that was required with the old system but to be presented in the dispute to confirm its validity.

In my personal opinion, it doesn't have a negative impact on old feedback. Instead, it reinforces what was previously required and allows all users to see what led to the feedback rather than just staff members. I find this helpful in not only negative ratings but positive and neutral ratings as well. Even though I'm a seller, I still would like to know how my clients are as a person and I'm sure they would like to know how I am as a person as well. You shouldn't base a deal solely on how many positive ratings a user received but instead, you should look into those positive ratings and understand why they received it (same goes for negative and neutral ratings).

Without providing valid evidence to support the claims stated in a user's feedback, the feedback will be removed, regardless of the rating. If you are not able to find the evidence in the time allotted, and you found it later, you can request in the dispute conversation for the Feedback Moderator to undelete the feedback so you or the other user can upload the evidence. If no conversation was created, you can create a support request requesting what feedback was deleted and given the chance to provide the evidence. This rule has always been enforced, even with the old system. In the old system, if you cannot provide evidence for your claims, the feedback will be removed. In the new system, if you cannot provide evidence for your claims, the feedback will be removed. Nothing has changed except how the evidence should be presented. Yes, it is frustrating that your positive feedback was reported but do remember, you can still create a dispute on your negative or neutral feedback as well. And yes, it is also frustrating that you have to find evidence for old feedback, but again, this was something that was already required even with the old system. Uploading the evidence now will help alleviate problems with not being able to find evidence for feedback left months ago, as long as the evidence provided supports all claims made in the feedback. Unfortunately, if you can't provide the evidence, it will be deleted; however, if you are able to find it at a later date, you can't request it to be undeleted so you or the other user can upload it. You could argue that finding the evidence would be a waste of time but if you strongly believe that the feedback you received should stay, wouldn't it be wise to attempt to prove so?
