Why are you going to Minecon?

Hey McM, I've been hearing a lot of people talk a lot of shit about people buying tickets to Minecon. Whether it be due to the hoards of children or the complete cringefest that we shall all bear witness to on September 24-25. So I'd like to hear from users who have purchased tickets and plan to go why they want to go to Minecon.

Personally, I would like to attend Minecon to view some of the unique panels and possibly participate in some tournaments. The specific panels would be the YouTubers Panel, Future Updates Panel, Building Panel, Redstone Panel, and the Server Management Panel. Oh and I almost forgot, the four capes that i'll be getting alongside going to Disneyland with the discounted tickets Mojang generously provided.

Most people just go for the cape tbh.

In reality though flying all the way to California paying for plane tickets, hotel rooms, travel. It seems pointless to do all that and make no profit just for a cape.[DOUBLEPOST=1462750844][/DOUBLEPOST]

To be logical in that, it'd be cheaper to just purchase a cape code off the site when they become available. It'd probably be $180 compared to the travel costs.[DOUBLEPOST=1462751008][/DOUBLEPOST]

I mean that's their main reason. Plus if people live near there they can just go and they don't need a hotel or anything and then they can make a $100+ profit from the cape code (because tickets are $150 and if you wait a bit codes go for $250+). If they wait a couple year they could make like $400+ profit.

I mean 2015 cape codes go for $250-$300 right now. So they would have to wait a good bit to make a decent profit. Unless this cape is super nice looking, it'll probably follow the 2015 cape codes in terms of pricing.[DOUBLEPOST=1462751056][/DOUBLEPOST]

I don't think I'm going to sell them. Two of them are going on my main accounts and the other two are going onto my two other friends accounts.
