In my town we finally got a chipotle.I hadnt eaten it until a few weeks ago. A buddy of mine and I went in and got a burrito and a small drink and it came out to a little over $9. The burrito was small and lackluster. I started thinking to myself Why the hell is this place so hyped

I've never had chipotle and honestly, I'm not sure I want too, it does not seem like my kind of thing.

You know it's rough when you've got to bypass their system to get your worth for money tho,

It's the same thing like Starbucks, you are paying for the brand and name (also the hype) so it comes down to that. Yeah there are other options but sometimes you just give into the overpriced hype because its more of a premium compared to something like Taco Bell.

When a brand can sell its image, that is what you are paying for. You aren't walking into a Starbucks because you like their coffee, you walk into a Starbucks because you like their brand. Who cares if Starbucks is selling you 90% profit margin beverages, you'll still pay because saying that you went to McDonald's or Dunkin Donuts before work doesn't sound as cool as saying that you went to Starbucks. Sure, you might prefer Starbucks coffee over other chains, though it's all down to personal preference. Heck, you might even like your small independent local chain better than the big guys, and those people probably cost more money than everyone because their margins are lower. However, even the idea of supporting small businesses still will draw you in favour of Starbucks - even if you hate them.

Chipotle is really good but there aren't a lot of options so the food starts to taste the same if you keep eating it over and over again.
