Why do people make huge FTOPs or ISTOPS?

This is one of the reasons I quit owning servers. I have and had loads of ideas which I can get developed which will make playing enjoyable and fun, however I disagree with the fact that people play for money rather than fun nowadays.

I'm not going to spend a ton on development when I know that there are other servers with literally pre-made setups getting players just because they have big ftops which end up being scams anyway.

It may seem like a lot of money, but most of the time a lot of the rewards are buycraft which is pretty much worth nothing to the server.

Most times it is paypal.

Eh, nothing that can be done about it now, you literally contact factions to play on a server and regardless of how good the server might be they always ask if it has an ftop and if it doesn't most likely won't get a lot of players. Also, don't you have a server that has like a 600$ istop or something?

Yea around $500, but half is buycraft and half paypal.

Not looking to go in debt 1 grand over a block game.
