Why I will never work with service teams again

So I have a bad experience with service teams and i'm going to tell some stories of past experiences.

So this was in early 2018 ive never worked with a service team so I decided to use one. I needed an edit to a thread design that I didnt have the psd to so I ordered a edit because I didnt have the money to pay for a new one. I made my order and didnt even think of asking them how much it would be. 15 minutes later they send me this shitty edit and the font being completely different they then say send $5 to there paypal and im thinking what the fuck $5 for this piece of shit. I had no choice but to send it to them because I didnt want any scam reports on me. So thats my first experience with service teams.

My first experience with service teams was terrible but I gave it another try thinking I would have a better experience. I was asked by a staff member of the service team to join a discord so i did and made my ticket this was for a server logo. The owner and a Mod or whatever ask for my order so I gave it to them with some examples of what I wanted and for like 5 minutes the Mod and Owner argued about who was going to help me, they were the most immature people ive ever met going back and forth "Im going to help him" "No me!" and I was just done I left the discord and left a bad review.

Alright heres my last experience with service teams. This one was pretty recent and they seemed professional so I made an order for a Twitch banner. They said it would be done in 5-7 days which was a lot for such a simple request but I ordered and sent them the money with was $8. I waited 3 days and started asking for some updates and they send me a banner with just text on it and said thats what they had done so far. 4 days go by and i've waited the estimated time so I start asking if their done. They say no and tell me not to rush them if I wanted quality work. I say when will it be done and they tell me to wait 5 more days and at this point I just wanted to say give my money back and ill find someone else but again I wanted another 5 days and if it wasnt done I would request for my money back. I ask once again and they say its done and they send me a download. I downloaded it and looked and it was terrible the text was good but the rest looks like it was thrown together in paint.net they said they will fix it if anything is wrong but I was done I wasnt gonna wait another week for a shitty twitch banner.

Im not saying all service teams are bad but half the time youll get nothing but shit.

yeah same, I ordered a plugin, and it didn't even work and when I asked for it work properly, the freelancer left the discord

From what I've seen through the scam reports it seems that service teams or just teams in general tend to have a lot of issues when it comes to communicating with their customers and then delivering the product they were commissioned to do as intended.

I've gotten a couple of services teams offering me a spot on their web development/web designer team. From what I've seen, most service teams have web designers that don't produce unique content like some lone freelancers and me on here. They all came saying that I could get more clients and money. 1, I'm already loaded with clients so getting more clients isn't a big issue for me. 2, I'm not doing this for the money. I do designing and development just for my personal hobby and enjoyment. I feel like these teams are just trying to use my creativity to get more clients for themselves and have a better portfolio. One even tried to bribe me saying, "we have a $400 ticket waiting to be claimed." Oh yeah, like that's going to get me to join. As I said, I'm not in this for the money. Just for the fun of designing sites.

Some of these service teams don't even have a website, or worse, the domain! There's one, which I will not name out of courtesy, that shows their site link on their thread, yet the domain isn't even purchased. If I really wanted to be mean, I could really buy that domain but I'm a nice cake :D.

From a freelancer's point of view, service teams aren't worth applying for. A good amount of them have owners who just want money, underprice projects by nearly 70% it's actual worth, so you're stuck there doing a $100 worth commission for just $30, but then the service team will only let you keep 85% or so of that ticket. In the end, you only get $25.50 of a $100 worth project (happened to a friend). Last, they are just a hassle to deal with. You're better off going lone and keeping your full worth commission to yourself instead of an underpriced and abusive percentage of your work.

That's simply my issue with services teams. They try to claim "we're different." Remove the bullshit from their thread, they are pretty much all the same. You can't really make a service team unique as they'll eventually end up doing the same shit.

If you have a good service team then good for you. I am not hating on any service team in particular that’s why I left the names out. I’m just sharing my experience with service teams.

If you have a bad experience with service teams your welcome to share your story on this thread I’d like to read them.

I refuse to use a service team, the few times I did they kept delaying my order, and once I got it, it was honestly crap.
But I think that team is gone now, idk.
