Majority of people on this site are guys. Unless I'm in certain discords where people meme a lot I don't ask to verify if the person is actually a girl. That being said if 95% of a place has koalas and everyone is dressed as a buffalo, if a buffalo tells me they are a tiger I'd believe they were a koala more.

for attention, as girls on games normally get more attention. I knew a guy on a server when I used to play who had a female like IGN and said they were a girl and got tons of ranks bought for them and stuff given to them. they never spoke in the TS and one day he got exposed
