Why new players are leaving?

Guys, I need help.

I rented a slot for 1.5 hours for 60$, 20 new players came and they all left.
I was trying to be realy nice to them, helped them and everything.

My server is pretty good from what I think.

can u guys come to my server and tell me what is so wrong with it?

You might want to make your server 1.9 and 1.10 compatible. A lot of players play on those versions and can't be bothered to change it. Also, spawn is very small and not eye-catching. Make it so when they spawn, they are amazed at the pure detail in spawn.

All you need is a few smaller YouTubers, 50k-100k subs a piece. Not that expensive.

Nope. I coded a server with no advertising what-so-ever and got a 30 playerbase making $600 in 2 weeks.

They were probably looking for something that they liked, and you didn't fit their criteria.
I'd recommend finding a way to make your server playable for hours even if you're completely by yourself.

Well, that can be sort of tricky... I assume you have a multiplayer option?
I'd recommend finding some way to make it more exciting and less grindy. Only basic factions and prison are more boring than skyblock, and they usually have a good-looking environment as well.

Maybe some sort of sped-up skyblock using items and shit? idk.

He threatened me that he will contact mojang if I wont make him admin.
He also lied that he is from PMC.

I banned him bcz I didnt want him to spam my chat of: "I will contact mojang , this server breaks eula"
