Why PMC sucks

Let's go over a few things. Never bump on PMC. Not only does it bring in only one-two players every time you bump, but it never brings in consistent players. Possibly the first time you post you'll get a few unique joins, but that's the only post on there that's useful.

I would never rant like this, but today I bumped (for the 4th-5th time), and I've gotten 7 new players that send players links of 7-8 year old boys in their underwear.

The only thing effective about PMC is the initial post, and the voting feature.

After that the only people that come on after bumping say:

"Make me staff."
"Plz i'll be on evryday"
*sends picture of 8 year old in underwear*
*hacks

PMC IS NOT USEFUL, SO WHY DO PEOPLE EVEN USE IT?

It sounds like you don't value players enough, lol. One player from PMC donating $20+ is worth 30 seconds a day bumping.

The hell, PMC was only good in late 2013 early 2014. Ever since then worthless to get players.

Personally, I think PMC is not given enough credit. They work hard, and all they receive is little kids.

So PMC is not an ideal place to gain playerbase. True enough, by itself.
That does not make it a bad website. It makes it a bad website for building a playerbase.
However, PMC being one of 2 biggest minecraft communities, having a server posted there tends to have an element of validity.

But hey if you don't want to have your server listed there, that's completely up to you. I for one found most servers I use via PMC (excepting the giant networks), not via one of the specialized server listing websites.

I will admit that some members of PMC staff have been getting more stingy about interpretation of the rules (anyone who follows DroolieMC will know what I'm talking about).
And yes, there are kids. There are kids in every online multiplayer game, and minecraft is one that is usually allowed by parents, so the amount of kids is higher. However, said kids (with their parent's credit cards) are also customers. Yes, this can be seen as exploiting, but if you make all reasonable effort to inform your players on the details of donation ranks and similar spending, you are not at all responsible for their use of money (the parents are).

So all in all, PMC is not the optimal website for promoting your server. But saying "it sucks" is a generalization that will take quite some more time of deterioration to become true (thinking at least a year)

It literally takes less than 30 seconds to bump your server, so I don't see why your complaining. Especially if one of those players gets a $20+ rank.
