Why you should NOT use Aquatis Hosting.

Where do I even fucking start? This shit is pissing me off. Let me state what happened in order with numbers then I'll explain.

1. Hosted 4x servers with Aquatis.host.
2. Loved their service (even wrote them a vouch which is featured on their main website page).
3. Last night an imposter goes on their live chat and acts like me. Provides FAKE information then gets access to my Aquatis account and multicraft. 4. I try talking to Klanx Founder of Aquatis and he seemed professional until he states the most he can do is refund my services? He leaked not only private information like my address & number. He also leaked my server files on each server.
5. Klanx refunds and blocks me on discord.

So like I stated I hosted 4x servers on Aquatis. Some for personal use and some to host my servers. I loved this company so much and I respected it enough to even have my vouch for their service featured 1/6 people on their front page:

So what exactly happened? I had an imposter who went on their live chat, provided false information about me and got away with it. If I wasn't able to find out that my password kept switching + finding out there are 2 random users added to my account I wouldn't be here. The user had access to all my plugins for each server (I believe he/she downloaded them, I cannot verify). But not only did they do that, my files were also messed with. Plugins deleted, builds destroyed and here is the funny part. Aquatis wants to refund me my 30 dollars that I'm paying monthly for all damages. Like are you dumb? Or dumb? Number one they doxed gave someone easy access to my information, number two they gave someone easy access to my files. Firing the staff member and giving me a refund doesn't do shit.

This is funnier. The companies TOS states they don't keep anything safe.

LIKE WTF. There is a difference between the company getting hacked and a staff member LEGIT leaking my shit. If the company got hacked I'd be more calm about this. But no, they handed my information to the user. In fact the user even used a fake email "[email protected]" to trick the staff member, my legit email is "[email protected]". You're claiming that I Leaked your information. Meanwhile the impersonator on our live chat clearly has your personal details such as your phone number, email address as well as YOUR HOME ADDRESS, I use these key methods to verify the owner of an account cause I mean who the heck knows someones address?

I would love to post the images on here of the live chat but unfortunely that would ACTUALLY doxing. You even said on the discord that you really didn't care about the personal details just the files.

You even above claimed he stole ALL your server files which your basically lying. I've shown you on discord the FTP logs and 2 out of the 4 servers had been compromised. I really didn't want this to go down like this but this is because a staff member of mine failed to follow my own verification protocol (which is to always refer these situations to me) which I terminated his position.

I have a liability up for a specific reason being so customers can't be attacking me if they lose custom files. It's literally been happening about every other day. I have people who delete there OWN files and then threaten to sue me cause they can't function the server properly by them selfs. I'm not suppose to be that OG host that suppose to be 100% perfect all of the time. Aquatis is literally a budget host. That's it, I ain't no mc-prohosting as well who is a well larger company than me.

I was nice enough to send you a refund to at least assist with the costs. I reserve the right to deny any refunds as well. But I wanted to show a nice gesture. I blocked you on discord cause I was finished discussing what I was going to do. I said all of your services expire the 31st and that's it. You were demanding a $700+ compensation but yet I wasn't shown the proper value of the item. Your acting like someone basically took ownership of your content. No, they haven't. If you see your content online just send a cease and desist to the provider and they will obviously take it down. They may also have that users personal details which can also help with the investigation. I'd assume that you set up a kill switch with your custom core like every dev does so? But from this situation it doesn't look like so.

All of my peers over the internet know this kind of stuff never happens over my hosting career. I'm unsure if I mishandled this and I'll be messaging my peers.

I can personally state you have mishandled this, mate in all honestly your employee messed up and has opened you up for attacks legally and on here - with that being said you should of resolved this before it was taken to MCM. Offer to negotiate a price that will cover the loss. Regardless all you done so far was blame someone else and offer $30 - mate that person worked for you, your company you need to realise that the mess up falls back on you.

How is his company a complete disaster? I think you missed upon some hosts who even done much worse than this. Whereas, you get some hosting providers who either have their own system administrator wiping their entire backups, nodes and all client information just because the system administrator was mad over something else.
At least Klanx, Found his mistake into this issue and took actions against it.

The client demanded $700+ in compensation, but Klanx refused as there was no evidence shown to its value. If the client has shown proper evidence of its value then he would have done it already.

Where did he say that's fine? He's showing that 2/4 of his server files were compromised and whereas the client said ALL (4) servers were compromised.

Offer to negotiate a price that will cover the loss.

Klanx already said he wanted evidence to be shown for its value in order to be compensated properly.
