Will cardboard burn/melt if put inside a computer?

Hey, I bought a cheap motherboard off ebay, and didn;t come with a IO Shield. So i am going to cut up cardboard, but will it melt/burn/make any disaster? thanks.

Depends. Does your machine get hot like your microwave? If yes put cleanfilm and cook yourself some pasta.
