:UPDATE: I WON THE CHARGEBACK CLAIM

I sold $10 in bitcoin to some kid for $11.50 paypal, he sent the money to me via friends and family, then i sent the BTC. 1 hour later he disputes the payment as unauthorized, here was my response.

I sold bitcoin to the buyer, in exchange for $11.50 USD. The buyer is claiming the transaction as unauthorized, but included within his note "This is a payment in exchange for virtual currency, and is authorised"
If he claims the payment was not authorized by him check his IP address and recent log-ins to prove it was him.
He is attempting to chargeback a payment after I sent the virtual currency (bitcoin) to him which is considered fraud.

Under section (13.3 Ineligible Items/transactions.)
Payments for the following are not eligible for reimbursement under PayPal Purchase Protection:

Digital currencies and items that have or are capable of having a stored monetary value attached to them such as vouchers, gift and pre-paid cards;

In which I sold him a digital (virtual) currency, he may not dispute a claim against this payment.

You dont have to do anything F&F chargebacks nearly always lose for the scammer as unless they changed their IP and a stuff they cant win but you could be a jerk and charge him back for his money.

If he paid through card and/or used a VPN, there's a good chance he will win. If he didn't do one or two of those things, you're most likely to win. The PayPal Purchase Protection is also only G&S payments I believe.

You will lose, Ive dealt with this before and PayPal isn’t too found of currency exchanges
Should i call paypal? other people online have had similar issues, they said they called paypal and explained the situation and got the dispute removed without having to show proof of anything.

Since I have a bit of time to spare let me inform you guys. Nearly all the time you will lose against chargebacks from deals on MC-Market. Sorry to break it to you. I’ve spoken with many representatives at PayPal the only way to truly win a online service is if you have a lot of proof that the service was given and the user has registered under your terms. Discord messages or Mc market messages won’t be accepted, it must be actual legitimate documents. For example a website can show that the user has an account and with that account he purchased a upgrade that specifically says all the features, and has ID numbers, they will easily win a chargeback. Online services are difficult to prove because usually PayPal prefers to do acutal tangible product which in most scenarios has a shipping ID. Any questions regarding PayPal feel free to PM me.
Me and they guy dealt thru discord, here is the chat

Calling PayPal for disputes on the other hand isn’t going to do you any good. They go through a reviewing process in which it’s only done through the website not through a call. If you call they will just tell you what I just said. You also have to provide your last 4 digits of your bank account number or credit card which I’m just saying because I’m not sure if you have one or not, since many people here don’t.

I have 2 bank accounts linked to my paypal, what can i do with that to help me?

First sorry for my bad grammar, just finished studying I’m half awake at this point. You could always try but discord 99% of the time will never serve as proof. Sorry to break it to you but you most likely will lose this one. I’m dealt with this but on a larger scale, with $6500.[DOUBLEPOST=1509418869][/DOUBLEPOST]
Nohing, I was just stating you have to verify your acccount everytime you call in.
I added this to the additional information, hopefully this kid loses.

Here is also a screenshot of our conversation,

https://prnt.sc/h46j9b

in the conversation by looking at the time stamps of the messages you can see he told me his bitcoin address where i sent the bitcoin too, you can match the time of those messages to the time of the payment he sent me. As more evidence his name on Discord (the messaging application) is (Bow) and his paypal email is ([email protected]) which confirms his identity

Don't even fight a chargeback. PayPal isn't going to listen to your side anyway. If it doesn't involve an eBay item. They don't care. It's like a 50 50. You might win but you also might lose. I got CB for $135.00 because the guy called his bank and said the charge was unauthorized. I was sure I was going to lose so I created a new PayPal and didn't even respond to the CB and about 10 days later. I won. I was surprised so that's why I say it's like a 50 50 and It's like luck basically and PayPal don't really care about your side If it isn't an eBay item. I won without even giving my side of the story.
I won the chargeback :)
