My question is simple: Will a manned mission to Mars actually be implemented by 2024?

Elon Musk's SpaceX shows promising results. But, with a lot of companies, advances in technology sometimes progress slowly and take longer than expected. Do you guys think SpaceX will be able to pull this off by the date they say they will, or will it take another couple years?
