Initial infection: Players have a 1% chance of getting infected randomly every hour
Symptoms chart:
NOTE: potion effect should not be visible in the player's inventory or have bubbles if possible
Infrequent coughing (high pitched noise. 5% chance of occurring once every 5 minutes) Chance of transmission if players are within 5 blocks of a sneeze or a cough
Infrequent sneezing (cow moo 3% chance of occurring once every 5 minutes) Chance of transmission if players are within 7 blocks of a sneeze or a cough
Minor fatigue(mining fatigue 1, 1, Fatigue 1 (potion effect) and slowness 1 . 5% chance of 5-minute sessions of Fatigue every 25 minutes)
Vomiting( Expelling a stream of items out of the players head. They will immediately disappear and then turn the ground to Redstone, any players walking on the Redstone have a 25% chance of becoming infected per the second Redstone should last for 5 seconds. Much similar to:

Frequent Coughing (deepest meow noise. 75% chance of occurring once every 52 minutes) Chance of transmission if players are within 7 blocks of a sneeze or a cough
Violent Fatigue((mining fatigue 3, fatigue 5 (potion effect) and slowness 2. 10% chance of 5-minute sessions of extreme Fatigue every 17 minutes)
NOTE: the infection only progresses when the player is online
STAGES:
Stage 1
Stage 1 symptoms start 2 real life hours after the initial infection.
Symptoms:
Coughing, sneezing
Stage 2
Stage 2 symptoms start 3.5 real-life hours after the initial infection.
Slight fatigue Fatigue, coughing, and sneezing
Stage 3
Stage 3 symptoms start 4.5 real-life hours after the initial infection.
Frequent coughing, vomiting, Mid-tier fatigue
Stage 4
Stage 4 symptoms start 6 real-life hours after the initial infection.
Violent coughing, extreme fatigue, fever, hunger
Stage 5
All stage 4 symptoms and the player loses a heart permanently every 3 minutes, the hearts can only be brought back with treatment.
NOTE: the infection only ends once a player dies from the infection or the infection is cured
Cold: Colds are a weak/fake “virus”, they do not serve any purpose besides tricking the player into buying antidotes
Treatment
The disease can be treated by growing a semi-rare plant(netherwart) that takes 7 real-life hours to grow. Once grown and harvested it can be eaten. Once eaten it both restores a heart taken by the disease and delays the next stage by 5 minutes.
Curing: The disease has a chance of being cured when a player is able to craft a certain item. The item is crafted by the following steps:
1. The player crafts a glass bottle and a cauldron
2. The player fills the glass bottle and makes it a water bottle
3. The player collects a rare plant( sugarcane) that takes 7 real-life hours to grow and only yields 1 seed.
4. The player must then throw both the bottle and the rare plant into the cauldron it produces a potion capable of curing the disease. At stage 1 it has a 100% chance of curing. For every next stage, the disease has a 25% less chance of curing the disease per stage.
