Minecraftia is looking for Volunteer Developers!
Minecraftia is a Non-Profit Minecraft/Discord community with Roleplay and City elements, along with a enriched Survival experience. The goal of Minecraftia is to support a player-chosen charity with it's profits. No staff, even upper management, will be taking any profits home. Once server costs are covered, all profits will be sent to the player-chosen charity.
Looking for Developers
In order to succeed in our goal to support our player-chosen charity, we've been working hard to come up with a one of a kind player experience with plugins that push survival to it's limits. Unfortunately, not all of our goals can be achieved using pre-made plugins, and some custom development needs to be done to contribute and stabilize the player experience. We're looking for volunteer Java developers who can work with us to achieve our goals. Volunteer Developers will not be paid. The amount of work will not be overwhelming, and you will not be discouraged from working on other projects, however there will be deadlines in order to stay on schedule.
Why You Should Consider
All of us working at Minecraftia understand that working without pay is discouraging, and takes up time that could be spent earning profit, but we also understand that difference we can be making, not only by donating to a charity, but by setting a new standard in the Minecraft and MC-Market community. We desire to prove that our skills tinkering and working with a block game can have real world impacts, and that they can change the lives of people around the world. By working with us, you contribute to that desire, and help make a difference in the world through a block video-game.
First Steps
If you're at all interested in working with us as a Volunteer Developer, please create a ticket here: https://discord.gg/p5cFF8T3Zn, I will be with you as soon as possible. We will discuss what you can bring to the table, and you'll be provided with a brief overview of your workload before you accept the position. We want to be transparent about what we'll be asking you to do, and if it can fit within your schedule as volunteer work.
Thank You
Thank you for reading this post, just by clicking on it you've helped progress our goal to prove our skills and community can make a difference. We hope to see you online!
