Cash the check out, resign from your job, find a new place to work at. Most corporations will NOT let you keep "a little bit of it".

If you really want to be honest and intend to stay with the company as a loyal employee, then you could play it off by turning yourself in. But if its a summer job or something you don't envision staying around for long, take advantage of it, its the corporation's fault.

(whoever inputted that error to pay you, will be fired most indefinitely)

If they find out they cannot do much about it. They have already given it to you. Do what you think is right (tell them about it lul). If it's a summer job/temp don't tell them lmao.

Tell them honestly both ways, if the relationship is built on something wrong then it will always be wrong

Honesty is probably the best way to go if this is a trade or job requiring qualifications you have worked for. Otherwise I believe you are entitled to the money as it is their own doing to have overpaid you. Personally I'd recommend just enquiring about it all.
My dad had a similar thing happen, and they just let him keep it.
I agree with the above, if you're honest it shows you're a good and trustworthy worker. hell, they may even let you keep a bit of it.
It is just a quick summer job for my trynna make some money, 900+ is enough for the whole freaking summer, so in that way of thinking I could just leave.
I’m most considered about it being legally right or not

They sent you the money, they cannot just "take" it back. Their fault.

"While it’s possible that someone might have simply not noticed their check was for the wrong amount, $800 and $3,000 are pretty different. If I discovered this had happened and the employee hadn’t spoken up about it — especially a new employee, with no track record of integrity already built up — I’d assume the person was trying to get away with it and that would destroy that person’s credibility and trustworthiness."

If it's a summer job, dip. They can't legally force you to give it back, or pay it back. It's just a matter of morality, not legality.

If its a big corporation I'd dip and keep it, but if it is a local store and not that big I'd give it back. I mean your choice, its all legal to dip out but it's morally not right

What kind off a business is it?
Since if it's a really small one, pay back 100%!
+ A good reference letter is worth more then 1k :)

It’s a big branch with the managers not liking me at all, always conplaining about me etc.
So I thought I made a bad decision working there,
Well we can see how that turned out[DOUBLEPOST=1558674495][/DOUBLEPOST]
Just stay working for another week and see if they pay you another 1k lmao
Haha would be amazing

Honesty man, if you really want/need the cash go for it, but

I'd rather have a high reputation than have a fatter paycheck once in a while any day.
