Welcome to Project USA
I started Project USA a few days ago, trying to see what I could do with the program, "WorldPainter". I'm no expert, but I feel that I can do pretty well when it comes to these types of projects. The whole point was to recreate mainland United States of America into Minecraft. This thread will give updates and announcements regarding the project itself, for those interested.
In the future, I might need some help when it comes to actually building some of the major cities in the USA, but I might just keep it as the geography for now.
So, let's jump into the first 2 Days..

Days 1-2 were kind of slow, but very successful. Today, Day 3, was a bit harder but I still managed through it.

(West side didn't need much and wasn't worth showing)
That's all for today! In the next coming days, I will be doing Mountain Ranges, Lakes, and Rivers!
Please let me know what you think about this project so far! Let me know what I could do better and what I did good on.

The prefix of this thread was only chosen to have a prefix to be able to post this and since it might go up for exclusive sale in the end. If this is in the wrong section, please let me know and I will move the thread to the correct section. Also, this build is not for sale (as of now) due to it being in it's development stages, and it being just a fun project. This thread's purpose is to get exposure for what I can do with WorldPainter and terraforming, and to also give updates on this project in case anyone is interested in it. Please also note that this build was all made using a program called "WorldPainter".

I loaded up a world on WorldPainter that is 1200x1400 (around that), and was totally stumped. I didn't know where to start. I tried shaping out the USA by myself with no outline, and that as you could of guessed, went terrible. I then realized that I could use image overlay for an outline on WorldPainter. So I went to google and found a map of the USA, put it on as a layer, and started to slowly but surely raise the land and use my outline to guide me.

Today I went around the coastline (even in places were another country would be e.i. Mexico and Canada), and fixed up some unneeded divots and fixed up all the bays and coves. It may not seem like much, but it helped bring in a lot of needed detail and fixed up those pesky shorelines, that love to be uneven.
