In your opinion is it still worth investing tons of money and time into creating a minecraft server or is it hard to grow because of the top servers dominating vote sites?

Been wanting to create a server for a long time, just afraid its over-saturated and hard to get your name out there now.

I'd like to hear other peoples feedback on this topic, considering I'm fairly uneducated on this atm.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

If you have a good idea for it, enough budget, then do it. :)

Definitely have the budget and ideas for it, but also very unsure. I see so many servers that put in tons of effort and money into creating the aesthetics of the gamemode as well as attempting to create a memorable experience for the audience but only seem to average 5-15 players, which in no way am i saying thats bad..

Just has me thinking if its hard to grow or get exposure to actually grow a server,

if you know how to market correctly, and know how to run a business servers can be very profitable.
I believe marketing is what I currently lack.

My 2 thoughts were Youtubers & Voting sites which are currently being dominated by bigger servers. I'll have to do some more research on marketing

Put alot into promotion, don't just think about voting sites. There's a huge audience for Minecraft servers on social media, especially instagram. After that, just make sure you're confident in your content to make them wanna stay. As well as be well prepared for the undesirables, as they will come.
