As stated by the title, I am stuck in a situation where I can't decide good enough. I've been playing for minecraft for about 3 years now. Being the only game I used to play, I've grinded a lot it in it. As it gets stale to only play the game, I've been thinking of learning Java and SQL for minecraft only. They say that whatever you learn, doesn't go to waste but for me that isn't. In the near future, I am nowhere to learning computer science and would not go further in the field so I would only learn Java for programming stuff for minecraft.

A red-hot popular statement that minecraft is dying. In the time of today, would it be worth putting effort in learning Java for only programming in minecraft stuff?

I wouldn't learn it for just minecraft, I don't think minecraft will die for a good while but programming is a great job in the future, sr. developers make a couple hundred thousand from what I've heard and I staarted to learn programming as it's awesome to see what you can make the computer do by learning a different language

Lets be honest here. You won't play all day long right? Exactly. When you get older you will stop playing minecraft. What's the point of knowing Java if you know it only for Minecraft? Then you won't have what to do with it.

I highly suggest coding ninecraft plugins and such, you can make some decent money from it, but minecraft is also slowly dying and if you pursuit coding and start coding other stuff and get jobs at companies and you can make a lot of good money!

Don't just learn Java, learn programming period. It's an incredibly useful skill going forward this generation.
