Some form of Pirates of the caribbean came out or was a recreation, last year I think it was, for PC. You may watch to check that out for some insperation. I really like the idea that you came up with.

The idea came from playing AC Black Flag a few years back, I took the stuff I got from that game and did some more research and here I am, making a server about it.
