XenForo 2 Migration Downtime (January 1, 2022)

Hi folks, Merry Christmas!

It's nearly time! After over a year of development, we're now ready to announce that our XenForo 2 migration project will be commencing on the 1st of January 2022.

On January 1st at 8 AM EST, we will take MC-Market down for our migration to begin. We will be switching software and our server infrastructure to completely new systems.

This will be the largest planned downtime in MC-Market's history, and we're anticipating that it should take between 24 and 36 hours if no issues arise. During the period, we will display a status page outlining our progress which will be updated as necessary. In the unlikely event of a delay due to an incident occurring we will provide updates through the status page.

Advertisers with active ads will be fully compensated to account for the lost time.

UPDATE:

We are delaying our migration by 2.5 days due to some unexpected issues that arose. With how much effort and care has gone into this project we want to ensure that we provide the best experience to our users that we can at the initial release.

This means that the downtime will commence at 8 PM EST on the 3rd of January. The expected duration of the downtime will stay the same.
