my redirects are not working (i am creating redirects with cpanel), my host said this ->

Hello,

This appears to have something to do with the software you are running (XenForo). XenForo has its own edits to the .htaccess file, which, when removed, redirects work as intended.

As I am not aware of which rewrite rules XenForo requires to work correctly, the file has been left unmodified by us after testing. You will likely be able to find the reason for this on the XenForo customer forums, or, you can remove the lines that have been added by the software to the .htaccess file but please note this is likely to cause issues.

Thanks,
Tom.

1. Remove your redirects, all of them.
2. Navigate Admin CP > Options > Basic Board Information.
3. Set the index controller (default is forums/) to portal/ or if you're using friendly URLS change it to whatever is after the first '/' but make sure you keep the trailing '/' at the end.
4. Save
5. Check your homepage
