[xenForo] How to setup the email services?

Hey there!

I have a website which is for my server, but I use the xenForo forum software and I'm struggling to setup the emails to actually work.
I have created an account with Google G-Suite for the email provider and within the setup of that, it told me to implement some MX records onto my domain settings, which I have done and I confirmed with my web-hosting provider these are setup correctly.

Obviously, for a gaming website I need this to work. Especially if someone forgets their password and they need a reset, the email doesn't get sent. It does really need sorting out.

Something I have input on the xenForo side, is not working, and I'm not sure what. When an email tries to get sent, here is a picture of the error.

Anyone work out what the problem is?

It looks like you're using your email address as the SMTP hostname as well, which is not correct. The first box in https://gyazo.com/a4a1109f6fd2b3df215d79a429cbb132 needs to be the hostname that Google provides you (most likely 'smtp.gmail.com').

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I just changed it to smtp.gmail.com and now I get the error 'Email to <email address> failed: Network is unreachable'
