Are the backups encrypted before reaching your servers? Or do we self host it?
You self host it, we only provide the software. Although we do offer encryption AND compression, plus we use the same de-duplication method that duplicati uses to save up to 90% storage space on minecraft servers compared to standard backup solutions.

Why use your solution instead of like borg?

What is "borg" and because we will have integrations into WHMCS, Pterodactyl, Cpanel, etc. It uses de-duplication and compression which saves up to 90% disk space compared to normal solutions, we also have auto load balancing, and geo replication.

We will also will offer an encrypted solution for server owners, for $5/mo you get 50GB backup space with restoration options in game, all manageable via a GUI or commands.

https://borgbackup.readthedocs.io/en/stable/ (free/opensource)
It has dedup, compression, encryption, also optional gui

Basically what i was trying to determine is if your service is worth the price tag

That doesn't have de-duplication. Look into that, de-duplication means if the same file is getting backed up twice it will just reference the original file, rather then store a new one. So if you have 7 days of backups, you're only storing one copy of the files that haven't changed.

Alongside this, users can control it in the Ptero panel. I assume they don't offer in-game minecraft GUI support. Our plans are mainly for hosting companies that wish to save space and let clients manage backups, or large networks that can benefit from the easy to use system hence the $50/mo price tag for that. It's not aimed for consumers, it's aimed for enterprise clients.

The consumer version is much cheaper and cost friendly and provides the backup space within the original cost meaning you pay $5/mo and all you have to do is download a plugin and put in your license code. The program will do the rest.

Another large benefit of using Xilla is the simplicity. Everything is designed to be plug and go, we'll have an auto installer for a secure database install, and the installer for Xilla just downloads the latest update every time it starts meaning your program stays up to date and it super easy to manage.

Our price tag comes from :
1. The functionality.
2. The integratability, you can embed it into your panels to make it look like it is built right in.
3. The ease of use, just download, run the installer, and you're good to go.
4. Platform independent. We support almost all major platforms including Linux, Windows, and MacOS.
5. Active development. Every day more and more work is done, things aren't just sitting around.
6. The beta trial is 100% free until release, so there's no reason to not give it a try once beta is out.

Ultimately if it's worth the cost is up to you. I cannot decide that for you but I can give you a list of reasons why I believe it is better then other solutions out there.

Vouch for Xilla! This platform looks absolutely amazing, and I can see it as the company that is brought to mind with backup solutions.

This has huge potential!
