Not sure if this has been suggested before, but a lot people have been complaining about the reputation system lately. A year count badge/title will go under each users profile on every post just like a supreme, premium, business account title would. This would count how many years the user has been on the forums for. For example, "1 year member" in violet. Then for each year there would be a different color. Of course it would get to the point where colors would run out for every new year so maybe using gradients for the higher year counts would be implemented. This would resolve the issue that people have with the reputation system which is that someone could join very recently and make many but small transactions (e.g. discord setups) and would have dozens of positive reputation over a few weeks whilst someone who has been here for over a year may rarely buy og accounts due to the high price but would only have 3 reputation, someone like that would be deemed more untrustworthy then the guy who has been here for a couple of weeks but has a higher positive reputation count. So essentially, this badge is honoring those who have been here for a long period of time and are still active on the forums and give a reputation boost to those who have been here for while but have not been given a fair chance due to a minor flaw in the reputation system.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Or just click their name!

But the badge is meant to be there not only to see how long theyve been here without clicking on their profile, but as a "premium" sort of title.

There is absolutely no possible way to determine how "trustworthy" someone is.
Anyone could scam. Anyone. Let me repeat. Anyone.

The reputation system that we have in place merely collects information about a user based on their interactions with other individual members of the site.
What that information means to you is up to you. It has no inherent meaning other than that of reputation, "What the community thinks about you"; and we enforce that much with the rules we have.
A smart person would take into account more information that we have displayed, such as when the user joined.
I don't believe a badge will fix anything. It'll just make me have 5 of them, and business account with premium and supreme have 4. I think the amount of badges we have right now is already the max it should be.
The information is already available.
The best thing we can do is simply spread awareness to others about how to make use our site and the information we provide in a smart manner.

The reputation aspect of it is only half of the suggestion, other half is to honour those who have been for a long time by giving them a premium perk, which is this badge that i spoke about. With the reputation part, i know that it obviously wont stop all scams, but people can use it as a guide to base their final decision on whether they are trustworthy or not. But thanks for reading!

I think a medal would be more appropriate. We'd been considering it in the past, but automating it with our current system wasn't possible.

To clarify, our current medal system doesn't like it when a large number of users has a specific medal. Implementing yearly registered medals will essentially lag the site to hell.

If they could I think a simple looking medal would be nice. Like a little cake with one candle for one year, 2 for two years ect.
