Year Registered Medals

I think we should have medals for each year of being registered. It's a nice way to recognize long-time members and is done on many forums.

The medals should be automatically granted for every year since the user joined. (This was well liked last time but wasn't implemented because there was no automatic system)

Here's an example of reddit's yearly medals:

Of course ours should follow the same theme each year and be more simple looking like the donation medals Coco created. Maybe we could even have yearly medal design contests for these?

This suggestion, unfortunately, has to be put on hold for an unknown amount of time. While yearly medals are a nice feature, our current infrastructure isn't able to support it without some significant modifications.

MC-Market currently uses the "[bd] Medal" addon for awarding users medals. After I made an extension that automatically awards medals to users who have been registered for the appropriate amount of time, I, unfortunately, discovered that there are significant performance implications when thousands of users have a particular medal. The medals addon clearly wasn't designed for large forums such as MC-Market, and modifying it wouldn't be easy.

At this time, there are more important features that the administration believes MC-Market should have, such as business accounts. Investing the time and resources into a more efficient or different medals addon isn't worth it. Until the original author can improve the performance of the addon, this suggestion simply isn't viable.
