First off, thanks to Croc for creating the previous method for gmail accounts (you can find it in the wiki pages). After switching to my personal email server, however, I realized a native push notification app was needed to make things work, not just something that checks for specific alerts in your email.

After some research, I found Pushover. Pushover is a push notification tool that works directly with a variety of devices, including all android/iOS products (apple watch and android wear included!) and on desktop/laptop devices. Imagine if this could be implemented into a forum, I thought; pity there isn't any addon to sync it together...or is there?

After a bit of Googling, I found that the ever-so-thoughtful Xenforo developer Chris D. had actually created a bridge for Xenforo to Pushover. It would seamlessly connect any Xenforo instance to Pushover and send any messages/alerts straight to your device (and the best part is that you can choose what you want to receive or not straight out of your preferences)!

There addon can be found here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xen-pushover-push-notifications.3039/

The app is free. However, the addon does cost £15, but I think it will overall be worth it.

Let me know what you think!

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I'll install this on a test thingie of MC-Market and do some experimentation with it a bit later this week. I'll let you know how it goes!

Personally, I don't think this is needed. The app itself looks very outdated and we already have email notifications. It works perfectly fine.

You could also just enable gMail notifications ;)

or whatever email service you use.

For those saying just use email notifications. This is what it does to your inbox:

Thanks for the suggestion, but simply put this isn't something that MC-Market needs. Like others have said, if you want push notifications download the Gmail or Inbox app to be notified whenever anything happens.

I'm sure that Gmail has some sort of filtering feature to automatically put emails from specific people in their own folders? Just set that up and bam, problem solved.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
