YouTube saying "Watched" again

I don't know if this is just me, but when I would watch a YouTube video a year or two back, it would then be grayed out and said "Watched" on it. I have now noticed, that this does not happen anymore and can be really annoying as I watch a lot of YouTube and don't remember everything I have seen. If anyone knows how to fix this, whether it be something on YouTube, a Google Chrome extension, etc. let me know.

There is a little red line that shows how far you've watched into a video here are 2 examples

The bar is on some of the videos I have watched but not most of them.
