Advice is need.

Making a network skyblock server it looks like to start with then I will add "insane skyblock", nothing too mad, if it works out nicely then I will expand futher, all developmet will be done by me.

With advertising I have a budget of about $1.5 - $2k

Wondering what sort of playerbase that will attract, the quantity of youtubers / ads and how much money you would expect to earn from this sort of investment.

Not asking for youtubers, just a question, although if you know some large youtubers (at least 80k views consistent absolute minimum) willing to do long term series or a group of them doing one offs then let me know and I'll compensate you.

Thanks
- Mat

Tahsin can be your man for YouTubers.

Lets say the Youtuber gets 10k views, brings in up to 300 players, you can expect to make in return possibly a $500-2k as from what I've seen: Players like to see that the server isn't just gonna immediately die and run off with the money. After player see that the server is still going strong and not closing anytime soon, you can possibly expect more donations.

Thanks for the tag. I've already been contacted by Mat.

This would be a brand new server btw, it's being setup from scratch.

Ah. SkyBlock is a relatively peaceful GameMode, so I think you're best going with the nicer YouTubers with the nicer subscriber-base, I think toxic players like to reside more on the PvP side (Though not always true).

For SkyBlock, I see no reason for more than 3 decently sized YouTubers (Maybe 10k - 10k - 10k, or 5k - 10k - 15k) with a good view to subscriber count and verify they have a valid subscriber base and not botted. From what I've seen at least, it can get you a really good starting playerbase, but that's not always the case.

As I said somewhere else: You gotta present yourself properly and what you can offer on your server. If you can't, you can possibly expect the next non-unique server to possibly to do it better than you and do better. Not always the case once more though.

That's some great advice cheers mate.

These view counts are still quite low, I've got a fairly large budget to expand etc, all development work will be done by me.

I'm looking for this server to make $1.5k/month at least with the skyblock itself, then I will introduce a more PvP element into "Insane skyblock" and thenn add more things.

What's the donation money looking like?

I can't give exact numbers as it's been forever since I've been apart of the SkyBlock community, but I don't think SkyBlock at the start will make the money you're hoping for. Maybe around ~500-1k though if you advertise your server correctly along with the donation items/perks.
