YOU'VE GOT TO SEE THIS VIDEO! INSANE SKY WARS GAME

Hello Minecraftians -

As many of you know, I recently picked up YouTube after a several month inactivity.

Since I picked YouTube back up, I've been making dozens of threads across a variety of forums and have been polling hundreds of people by now for critique and improvement. I've spent a good five to twelve hours per day over the last few days trying to improve my commentary technique, recording abilities, and technical management to make the videos as superior to my competition as possible as well as to entertain all of you. I really have a great time making these videos and it makes me jubilant to read all of the great things my subscribers and viewers have had to say.

Anyway, as I was recording today, I had a really amazing gameplay on Sky Wars which I'd particularly love to share with you guys.

I don't want to ruin the surprise for you but it is definitely the most impressive Sky Wars gameplay I've ever seen and shows how a bow is truly the most powerful weapon in Minecraft.



You can pretty much call me Katniss.

Additionally, I'd love to hear what you guys thought of the video and I'm still totally excited to hear any critique and constructive criticism that you guys may have for me.

I'm extremely proud to have worked this hard to improve for your viewing pleasure and really appreciate those of you that pushed me and critiqued and analyzed the video as much as possible to pinpoint the areas where I need to improve.

Probably one of the best videos I've watched in a while. (Though I don't watch much YouTube). However, at some points in the video you seemed a little try-hard and near the end you started accenting every. Single. Word.

Basically, you COULD improve but the video was pretty entertaining and that's a real plus.

But all jokes aside, I love the video. But here is a few tips I have:

- Try to pronounce your words more clearly or not mumble at parts of the video

- Get a better microphone or move it further from your face because it sounded stuffy at the points where you were being loud

- You don't have to, but when recording by yourself I recommend adding some quiet music in the background, makes it a little less awkward at the points where you aren't talking. This won't be a problem if you talk for the majority of the video though

These may sound dumb but this is just personal feedback.

Thank you so much for the criticism. I'll definitely work on pronunciation. I've tried laying music over my videos in the past and it's not a style that I really like, but thank you for that as well.

My microphone is actually a really great microphone which was less than a foot away from my face but I suppose I'll work on making sure positing is all amazing.

Not at all, but I admittedly take on a very ENERGETIC personality when shooting my videos because people find it to be a lot more entertaining and engaging. Did you not?

This video was entertaining, I recommend improving your FPS when recording and to pronounce your words more clearly. Overall it was a great video

I think you're really good and should definitely be growing more and more very easily.

One thing I'd like to feedback on, relax a bit more. In a way it sounds a little robotic, and there's no real passion there. Try and sit back a bit and get really into the game. Your commentary is great, but I think the only thing it it lacking is the enthusiasm. Try and be yourself and don't hesitate to experiment with the tones of your voice.

The tone of your voice is really important, as it helps give the audience a feel of your mood.

I honestly think you could become something. Keep it up.

As others have said;
Get a texture pack. Or an FPS pack might help.
Get an intro or outro.
Sometimes underlay music always helps. Not all the time though. Experiment with it a bit. c:

I actually like the really energetic and quick feel to the video and prefer normal mode but thanks for the feedback nonetheless. Will definitely look into getting an FPS pack, getting an intro, and possibly underlaying music in some videos.

I saw somebody already said this, but I think some somewhat quiet music in the background, would make a world of difference.
Something to take out those silent areas.

I'm going for the broad audience of the Minecraft demographic. I'll definitely take the speaking quickly into consideration given all of the comments about it although I do love for all of my videos to have an energetic, enthusiastic feel to them.

Definitely an improvement from the previous videos you shared on MCM
Gathering up tips from people above...:

Spoiler: tips and stoof

Video wise:
- Add an intro and outro
- Bring down the enthusiastic attitude juuuust a little bit XD
- Add some light background music
- Install a texture pack
- Put together several skywar game footage so it's not a 2 minute video
- There were some voice cracks here and there but not a huge deal

Channel wise:
- Get some better channel art
- Add a background to your avatar so it's not just white
- Get your own youtube banner (it looks nice but I'm pretty sure you didn't order it yourself from Inkbyte)
- Add like "#1, #2, #3" to the thumbnails for each episode
- Update the video that shows up at the top (not sure what it's called), the vid is a year old
