Today’s update brings a major polish pass to the terrain tool, focused on making building feel smoother, cleaner, and far more reliable.
This patch improves the overall building interface with a stronger material inventory menu, cleaner HUD presentation, hold-to-place toggle support, undo and redo controls, and better interaction flow across the full tool. Terrain and detail materials now feel much more usable as part of an actual builder system instead of a rough prototype.
The biggest improvement in this update is the new mouse placement patch. Preview placement is now significantly more stable, especially when working near surfaces, edges, and ground contact. We also added support for more reliable half-step / half-buried placement, making it easier to place blocks partially in the terrain or create tighter structural foundations without the preview box flickering all over the place.
Included in this update:
- Improved material inventory menu
- Cleaner HUD and bottom bar pass
- Hold-to-place toggle
- Undo and redo support
- More reliable remove behavior for placed blocks
- Stable mouse placement improvements
- Better half-step and in-ground placement
- Surface mode and center mode placement support
- General polish and usability upgrades
This update lays a much stronger foundation for future features like shape tools, favorites, recent materials, better snapping systems, and even more premium building workflow improvements.
