The pets are alright, they look decent. Very easy to import into games which is a plus however the looks throw them off. They look a bit starstruck but if you aren't worried about looks then give this a shot!
Great game overall, I personally love the look of the map as well as how easy it is to script, even for low-skill developers. Definitely worth it for the price!
First and foremost, this is a highly functional bot, and the devs, though they have timezones which conflict with mine, were able to provide me fairly efficient service in helping setup the bot as well as implementing features I needed from my previous system. Upon moving to this system, I was immediately impressed by the difference in quality and improved functionality I had with this bot compared to others, truly a great deal and it just gets better with time!
Hey, reviews are not made for bugs, why didn’t you message me on builtbybit and ask for help! If it says it’s working on a version and it’s not working then it’s obviously a bug.
First of all, I've been using the plugin for around a month, maybe less. At the start, it seemed awesome; I got a lot of the features I wished for in a bundle. BBB page says 80-90% configurable (dev says you would need the source code, so it makes sense if some stuff cannot be configured).
All in all, the features work if you take them as they are; not great, but they work.
Unfortunately, there are a tonne of downsides to using this plugin, as well as the dev not taking in feedback or even fixing issues with the plugin; you get the same responses (I will list some down below just from my own ticketand the public chats).
TLDR:
- It's not a good plugin; it lacks configuration, has false advertisement, is toxic and is just an overall bad plugin that's been made with some LLM, which is why it breaks after most updates.
I will go feature by feature and share my opinion on them.
Permissions:
- Basically non-existent; what you can do is use economy.admin, economy.shards.everywhere.<number>. and economy.home.slot.#. That's it – no commands for any of the other features, no way to disable most of them, so you're stuck with them.
"The plugin includes a built-in scoreboard and tab list, removing the need for TAB and simplifying the config."
- This is true; it does have those features; however, they are mediocre at most.
- You don't even remotely get the features from TAB; just looking at TAB's GitHub page, you see what's offered (https://github.com/NEZNAMY/TAB/wiki).
- DonutCore allows you to set a tablist, yes, but it is not even close to Tab. The same goes for the scoreboard, so this is false advertising. Also, the docs are terrible, listing 40% of what you can do at max. There are around 600 tickets on Discord asking how stuff works because the docs are just so badly written and missing information.
Bounty system:
- Seems to be fine, although I haven't really tested it.
Shards feature:
- Does the basics; you can set permissions for who should get shards everywhere and how many people should get in the AFK zone. You cannot change command aliases, change chat messages from /shards and so on (does the basics, not more).
Leaderboards:
- Terrible, not remotely close to the DonutsMP leaderboards, cannot be disabled or modified at all, can't change GUI or even messages/formatting; you take it as it is, which is why we used a different plugin.
- When I asked, "@[Staff] Hugster, how can I disable economy leaderboards?" I got these answers (https://imgur.com/a/oQAcmuK), but he refuses to do anything and always comes up with the argument that so many people bought the plugin and didn't complain.
Sell menu:
- Seems to be decent; didn't mess with it too much, as there is 0% configuration for it. It's enabled, and you take it. Can't even change the multiplier values from what I've seen.
Home system:
- Works great; didn't see any downsides, except you can't configure anything, but it does what it says it would.
Settings menu:
- Didn't mess around with it, but once again, no configuration or permissions
Worth system:
- Fine, but again, you can't configure it, and there is also no /worth hand command, so you're forced to search in the menu or /worth itemname, I believe.
Shop menu:
- No bugs but very limited configuration; I cannot add heads when asked. I got a "nope" (https://imgur.com/a/yttY0sf).
- You cannot create submenus, so if you wanted to add a key shop to your shard shop, you're out of luck. Many users that I talked to just used different shop plugins, with no way of disabling DonutCore shop, though (https://imgur.com/a/sr6OeIe).
Billford Trade:
- does exactly what it shows in the picture You can trade an item for another item – no commands, no custom items, just vanilla items – not what it is on DonutsMP at all. When asked about making it so you can use commands, I got this (https://imgur.com/a/7zZvpOK).
- The entire purpose of Billford is to add a way to craft "pay2win" items to be compliant with EULA, as well as giving players an option to craft items they would usually have to pay for.
RTP Menu:
- Does what it's supposed to and pretty well even, has its own YML, and you can configure a good bit of it; no submenus or anything, though, so if you're running a multi-region survival world, you're out of luck.
Teams:
- Works as it should, although I didn't test it much for bugs, but you cannot configure much at all; no GUIs, just team name lengths and member limits (https://pastebin.com/rai1UnDp).
Amethyst tools:
- Same functionality as on donutsmp, but there is no self-destruction; it is advertised, but it's not the same system as on donutsmp. The system also doesn't get shown to the buyer, so they assume they get a timed self-destruct when it's based on uses, so a tool can be used for unlimited time but for a set amount of uses. Dev thinks it's fine and doesn't do anything about the complaints in Discord.
Hover stats:
- Works as intended, and you can configure what you see on the screen as well as use placeholders, so there are no downsides to this from what I've seen.
Clearlag:
- Works fine, and you can configure what you need to. You cannot configure the message interval, though, so you're stuck with 60-30-15-10 and down to 1, if I remember correctly.
Media Menu:
- 0 configuration at all; I've had to make my own menu via DeluxeMenu to overwrite it. Also, no perms, so the old menu is still accessible.
Lunar client support:
- Didn't test, so I cannot evaluate.
Stats Wipe:
- Works fine; however, leaderboards/placeholders take a relog to refresh. It would be nice if all of the stats of a player were wiped (inventory, position, blocks broken stats, etc.) (only database entries get deleted, which is understandable).
Profile Viewer :s
- Works; didn't see any downsides or bugs, although I didn't test this a bunch.
Shards everywhere:
- Works as intended; not a lot of configuration, but it works fine.
Key-All reward:
- Works fine if you want to run a command at a timed interval (time, command, message and status (on/off) can be configured so it's perfectly fine).
Economy:
- Works fine; didn't see many downsides, if any. Runs alongside essentials and stuff, so not awesome, but they use the same data, which gets stored in essentials and the DB, so it's not ideal.
Placeholder API:
- Placeholders work, although he broke them for a few hours with an untested update, badly documented in the wiki, so you have to test which ones work how.
TPA system:
- Not like Doughnut at all; not very configurable, no GUI, just messages. With one of the latest updates, you can configure the TP delay for warps and TPAs, but that's it.
RTP zone:
- Works as it should; players get TPD. I've only tested it with 2 players max, so I don't know if it works for a lot of people, but I'd assume so. There is a 5-second spawn protection, so if you take longer to spawn, you're dead, or if you just don't move fast enough.
Warp system:
- Useless; all it does is add a way to set warps and stuff, which Essentials already does by default. No GUI for the warps, so it's not even a benefit. I've had to make my own GUI with DeluxeMenus and run DonutCore commands since it does actually come with a TP warmup, which is nice. Is it better than the Essentials warp system? Yes, by a lot? no
Storage:
- You are forced to use MongoDB; there is no other option, and the dev refuses to use anything else or let people use anything else. You end up with duplicate data since stuff is already stored in a lot of plugins, and he stores on top of it.
Performance:
- Didn't test it, so I don't know.
Setup:
- Configurations aren't loaded by default or edited with updates, you have to check the wiki and look what was changed yourself
Support Server:
- as said before the wiki is very slim and doesn't really teach you anything, and its the same in discord, you have to make a ticket for every question since there is no way for you to know, people constantly have issues and the Dev just gives scummy responses refusing to do anything or improve features even when a lot of people ask for it, he does say its a replica so there shouldn't be much to configure which i agree but the features are not a replica at all, just bad concepts, his behavior has also changed a lot from being scummy to scammy just today since a lot of people started complaining and asking for improvement on the Devs side, answering with stuff like this (https://imgur.com/a/JhstRV1), hes currently trying to dispute all bad reviews in order not to lose sales from unknowing people falling for the same trap.
Here are some more screenshots of the support Discord:
All in all, I do not recommend buying this plugin. It seems cheaper than buying each feature from different Devs, but with this one you pay in configuration. Hugster has been copying other Devs, "such as Blaze Z", constantly, making plugins purely with LLMs and not offering good support. This is a very scammy approach, just getting people to buy the plugin and then refusing updates/upgrades.
All the screenshots were taken from the public support server and my own ticket, this is not all of the bad practices that the dev does, feel free to check the wiki or look at the discord to make your own picture, nothing was forged and this is my own opinion.
As stated in the documentation, the plugin is approximately 85-90% customizable. It includes 10 configurable files. Please note that not every detail can be modified as if you had access to the source code...
Great Plugin it always updates and Hugester Is Great also if u dont know what LC key is he helps he helped me 10 hours pls NGL if u think abt it very good
I was hoping this product would be kinda hard to adapt to my page, but the dev helped me out through all the process and made it way easier, such a good product, one of the bests things I have ever gotten
