Take Minecraft Mod Management Further Inside Pterodactyl
ModDeck is a premium Minecraft management workspace designed for Pterodactyl hosting providers and server owners who want a cleaner, safer way to handle mods and full modpack server installations directly from the panel.
Instead of forcing customers to manually search provider websites, upload JAR files, replace configurations by hand or rebuild a modded server from scratch, ModDeck adds a fully integrated workspace with separate experiences for individual mods and complete modpack deployments.
Individual Mod Installer
The Mod Installer workspace gives users a polished way to manage compatible Minecraft mods without leaving their server panel.
Features include:
- Browse compatible Modrinth mod projects.
- Search by keyword and category.
- View popular compatible projects.
- Save mods to a personal server watchlist.
- Detect installed JAR files.
- Identify supported provider projects.
- Install verified compatible mods.
- Resolve required dependencies during installation.
- View compatible updates.
- Update installed mods through protected operations.
- Enable or disable installed JARs.
- Safely remove mods.
- Review operation history.
- Roll back recent protected file changes.
Every file-changing action is designed around recovery-first handling, helping server owners avoid blindly replacing or removing important files.
Full Modpack Installer
The Modpack Installer workspace is built for users who want a complete modded server experience rather than installing individual mods one at a time.
ModDeck supports:
- Modrinth modpack discovery and protected deployment.
- Optional CurseForge dedicated server-pack browsing and deployment.
- Provider-aware compatibility checks.
- Pack detail views and installation planning.
- Queued long-running deployments with live operation progress.
- Duplicate-install prevention.
- Replace Current Mod Set installation mode.
- Full Clean Server Install mode.
- Recovery archives before destructive operations.
- Complete validated dedicated server-pack payload deployment.
- Runtime readiness reporting.
- Managed runtime bootstrap controls for approved server eggs.
For supported dedicated server-pack releases, ModDeck can deploy far more than the /mods folder. The full installer is designed to handle validated server-pack content such as configuration folders, scripts/data folders, libraries, launcher artifacts and other files included in a proper server release.
Protected Full Server Installation
Full modpack installation can be destructive by design, so ModDeck adds clear approval and recovery controls before server files are changed.
A full installation workflow can:
- Preview the selected pack and installation mode.
- Display expected server/runtime requirements.
- Create recovery data before deleting or replacing files.
- Install the validated full server-pack payload.
- Report whether runtime conversion is required.
- Mark completed deployments clearly in operation history.
- Block repeated duplicate full installs while another operation is active.
This makes ModDeck especially useful for hosting providers offering modded Minecraft servers through Pterodactyl.
Modrinth and Optional CurseForge Support
Modrinth support is included for compatible mod discovery, protected operations and modpack deployment.
CurseForge support is optional and administrator-controlled. The panel owner supplies their own approved CurseForge API key, tests the provider connection in the ModDeck admin panel, and separately decides whether users may browse or deploy permitted dedicated server packs.
ModDeck does not include shared CurseForge credentials, and it clearly handles provider restrictions and unavailable deployment files.
Administrator Control Center
ModDeck includes a dedicated admin control center built into the Pterodactyl administration area.
Administrators can configure:
- Client workspace availability.
- Protected operation permissions.
- Modrinth provider access.
- CurseForge API credentials and connection validation.
- Modpack browsing and deployment controls.
- Eligible Minecraft eggs.
- Mods-directory mappings.
- Version-variable mappings.
- Managed runtime bootstrap permissions.
- Approved Java runtime images.
- Safe recovery and full-install policies.
The admin interface uses a cleaner tabbed control-center layout with visible enabled/disabled controls and clear separation between normal options and destructive installation features.
Designed for Hosting Providers
ModDeck is not only a mod browser. It is designed as an operations layer for selling or managing modded Minecraft hosting experiences through Pterodactyl.
Whether you operate a private network, a community server platform or a commercial hosting service, ModDeck helps your users:
- Discover compatible content.
- Install mods safely.
- Deploy supported modpacks.
- Recover from changes.
- Understand when a server is ready to launch.
- Avoid common modpack setup mistakes.
Early Access Notice
This release is currently provided as Early Access for Pterodactyl Panel v1.12.3.
Before enabling destructive full-server pack installation for production customers, administrators should install ModDeck on a staging panel and validate it with disposable Minecraft servers. CurseForge support requires the administrator’s own approved API key and is subject to the provider’s applicable usage and distribution rules.
