We have completely overhauled the terrain generation and added highly requested features to make your worlds feel more natural, varied, and optimized!
World Generation
- Optimized Performance: Significant reduction in mathematical overhead during chunk generation, leading to faster world loading and less CPU usage.
- Cleaner Block Placement: Rewrote the surface layering logic for a more organized structure, making future biome additions easier.
New Features
Auto-Regeneration System: Added a new auto-regen config option. When enabled, any changes made to a chunk (breaking/placing blocks) will be automatically restored to the original terrain state once the chunk unloads.
Biome Improvements
Plains Biome
- Vegetation Variety: Increased tree generation frequency to 40% per chunk.
- Added Tall Grass: New tall grass patches now generate naturally.
- Flower Patches: Increased flower count and density for a more vibrant aesthetic.
- Surface Fix: Resolved an issue where double layers of grass blocks were generating incorrectly.
Mushroom Fields
Balanced Flora: Reduced the density of small planted mushrooms to better match vanilla aesthetics.
Badlands
- Horizontal Layering: Corrected terracotta generation to form proper horizontal colored stripes.
- Cacti Addition: Badlands now naturally generate cacti
Snowy Plains
- Pumpkin Patches: Added pumpkin patch generation in snowy areas.
- Dense Forests: Increased spruce tree frequency to 50% for a fuller forest feel.
Technical Fixes
- Fixed a critical variable shadowing bug that was causing trees to generate in incorrect x/z coordinates.
- Simplified the
config.yml structure for better readability.- Added
