My name is Matthew Ashcroft, I have been playing Minecraft for 3 years now. With this 3 years, I have learnt various staff skills. And I’m looking for other places to share my skills at.
What am I looking for?
I am looking to be a Server Manager. The server must have a player base above 25. The reason for the player base is I don't want to waste my time on a server that gets no one on. Another thing I am looking for is a server that has a budget of some sort. As stated above, I’m not looking to waste my time.
Experience:
TheArchon HCF (Helper):
TheArchon HCF (Helper):
TheArchon was an okay experience to be staff on. My job to help in support rooms in TeamSpeak and moderate chat. Regularly. At EOTW TheArchon averaged around 150 players and that’s where Map 1 ended. Map 2 wasn’t as successful as Map 1. On SOTW we averaged around 200 players with no advertisement. A few weeks after the Map the server started dying to around 10-20 players online. Nevertheless, I was still hopping on moderating and making sure the server was safe for players.
Oxide Hosting (Customer Service Operator & Board Member):
Here is one of my favorite places to work at, Oxide Hosting was amazing. This is where I learned all my communication skills with clients, I learned how to be calm when a situation isn't going right. I also assisted the management team in decisions about the company.
HydraFactions (Manager)
HydraFactions was an amazing community to work with, here was where I learned lots of leadership skills on how to drive a team to success. The community always came first in my eyes, I was always there if a staff member or a player required assistance.
Why should you choose me?
Because I am hard-working, active and a good staff member. I hope to achieve: a better knowledge of a server itself; know the community of a server more and learn more skills of being a Manager. The list is very long but there are some basics. You should choose me because I have a positive personality. I want to develop more confidence at the server I work for. The reason I am different is that I am a very hard-working person that works hard and just makes sure that the job gets done. Being a staff member takes a lot of maturity, honesty, and dignity. I think these are the most important points of being a staff member because you need to be trustworthy. These words really mean a lot to me. I also have excellent communication skills.

Maturity:
I believe I am very mature because I have been staff on a lot of servers and I make sure to follow the rules on them. I also believe I am very mature because choices are very important to me. Choices are what make us who we are e.g: our personality. I make sure my choices are picked carefully and accurately.
Kindness:
I am very kind because of my attitude. I have a positive attitude. I make sure that I am respecting all people the way I would like respect from them. I am very kind because I really don't like worrying things like bullying etc.
Self-Awareness:
I am very good at self-awareness and self-control. This is because I have trained myself. Self-awareness and self-control is a key part of being a staff member because you need to make sure you can control different types of players. There are lots of types of players in the Minecraft community which is a good thing because if we were all the same life would be boring.
Hardworking:
I make sure I am focused on a task I am given. For tricky tasks like taking your GCSEs, I make sure I am focused and that the task is completed correctly.
Knowledge of server commands:
My knowledge of commands on a Minecraft server is outstanding. If your server has some plugins that I have never encountered before I think I will easily learn the commands and it and remember them easily.
Age:
I am mature for my age. I am a great staff member. I have played Minecraft since I was 10 and have had staff experience since I was 11 (2 years) In my application today, I am trying to prove to people that all ages can apply for staff and get a chance. Just try your best, don't listen to what anyone else says!
Respect:
I make sure I treat everyone how I would want to be treated. Respect is a very important part of being a staff member anywhere. Whether it's in real life, in game or just anywhere. Respect is very important because sometimes you need to be aware of other people and not just yourself.
