I'm Matej, the founder and lead developer of ChatControl (500,000+ downloads) and the creator of SpigotCourse, an online video-course for Java, SpigotAPI and sales. On SpigotMC, we are currently selling 7 premium resources that are being actively maintained since 2015.
In order to be able to continue delivering quality content for both paid plugins and SpigotCourse, we need more people on our team. We are looking for outstanding developers to help us deliver top quality updates for the paid plugins and provide first-class customer support to our customers.
Positions
There is currently one open position, see below:
Developer Specialist
You will be responsible for 1) providing feature and security updates for three plugins: ChatControl Pro, Boss and CoreArena/Puncher (same underlying game library). You will also be responsible for 2) handling support tickets on SpigotMC and GitHub for selected plugins.
Minimum requirements:
- Java
- A high proficiency in Java, understanding conventions and being able to follow our code structure and requirements
- Able to write efficient, elegant and easy-to-understand code
- Personal
- Age 17 or above
- Polite, disciplined and honest personality
- C1+ English language skills - able to spell correctly and communicate clearly, both orally and written

- ProGuard (including reading obfuscated stack traces)

- Comfortable with working and communicating with remote teams
- Able to communicate via Discord, Email and GitHub with our primary timezone in mind (UTC+2)

- Able to install and use Time Doctor application for time tracking
- Able to sign an NDA and a contractors agreement
- Microphone, camera and Skype for the initial interview and follow-ups

Notice: If you posses excellent skills in most arenas required but lack some in a few, we provide free educational material (SpigotCourse, see below) so you can learn about the technologies we use.
Work Hours & Payment
We do feature and bug-fix updates over weekly and daily basis, therefore we'll always have something for you to do so we're ahead of ourselves.
We usually pay $175 a month depending on your working hours, that are usually about 8 hours per week. Working hours are customization to fit you after our initial conversation.
You will be expected to post progress onto our BitBucket team for our head developers to review. If your code is not up to our standards, we may require you to change it.
