First off, in the 10+ years I have been in this line of work, you are by far the worst freelancer I have ever dealt with. You were incredibly rude to multiple people including the client, the system administrator, and both directors of our company. This is a service team where you take on commissions and quote for the entire project. It's actually crazy that you wanted to charge the client for you to fix bugs on your own code.

We never once used intimidation tactics, but you have threatened us repeatedly like saying you will report us if we don't pay you for the unfinished product, threatening to sue us, threatening to dox both Logan and myself, etc, and threatening to sell the client's project if we don't pay them for the unfinished work. This alone is extremely unprofessional. We have stated numerous times, we have zero problems with paying you once the commission is marked complete, but time and time again you kept delaying finishing the site.

Any developer that quotes a project and works on a commission has basic expectations of them
  • Test all versions before giving to client (optional, but helps save time)
  • fix any and all bugs that the client finds in the code
  • Act in a professional capacity

You failed to do those completely. It was a constant battle and argument between 4 people and yourself for you to finish the job and get paid. I'm happy the client used a service team, like us, rather than going directly with you, as you most definitely would have scammed them.

If a client has never dealt with code or used code before in the past, it's not surprising that they wouldn't know of common developer tools like VSC or GitHub, and the fact that you ridiculed them for not knowing these things, just proves how disrespectful and mean you are.

You also used AI for a good portion of the site, which is crazy work. Everyone please think twice before choosing Joseph/B1cey to be your web developer freelancer.

Also — any developer knows that post-delivery testing and support is either scoped into the project explicitly or billed separately. You expected that work for free.


3. “Threatening to sue or report”​


I was owed $613 for two weeks of completed work, and after multiple ignored messages, broken promises, and public disrespect, I stated I would pursue legal options and resale of the project to recover lost income. That is not a threat — it’s my legal right as a freelance worker unpaid for services rendered. I never "threatened to dox" anyone — that is a serious and false allegation.


4. “Using AI is crazy work”​


This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of modern development. AI tools are used across the industry to streamline routine tasks — not replace human work. Every single line of code was reviewed, tested, and written within the agreed scope, regardless of whether I used assistance for layout, templating, or design.


5. “You failed to act professionally”​


What I did was:

  • Deliver the working project despite multiple blockers.
  • Try to enforce clear communication.
  • Ask for compensation that was promised.

What you did was:

  • Delay feedback repeatedly.
  • Expect additional labor (testing, debugging, scope changes) for free.
  • Smear me when I asked to be paid fairly.
