Most "DDoS protection" for Minecraft is a single box running generic scrubbing. It doesn't understand the Minecraft protocol, it buckles under a real L7 flood, and the moment your IP leaks you're done.
Arvoris is built on two layers:
Layer 1 — Cloudflare Spectrum. Your hostname resolves to Cloudflare's anycast edge: Cloudflare IPs at the front door, 500+ Tbps of capacity across 330+ cities. The same L3/L4 mitigation Cloudflare sells enterprises, pointed at your Minecraft port. Volumetric floods are absorbed at the edge and never reach you.
Layer 2 — our own network (AS216013). Behind Spectrum runs Cryo, our Layer-7 mitigation engine, with 600+ Gbps dedicated to filtering across seven PoPs (Miami, New York, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Tel Aviv, Singapore, Tokyo). Cryo parses the Minecraft protocol itself and drops protocol attacks and bot joins that generic scrubbers pass through. Clean traffic reaches your backend with the real client IP intact.
Largest attack mitigated to date: 7.15 Tbps volumetric and a 50M-connection L7 flood. Arvoris is the budget sister brand of papyrus.vip — same network, same stack, with a genuinely free plan.
Why Cloudflare Spectrum matters
- Volumetric attacks aren't your problem — 500+ Tbps of anycast absorption eats multi-Tbps floods at the edge.
- Global anycast, not one scrubbing IP — 330+ cities; players hit the nearest PoP, attackers get split worldwide.
- Real Cloudflare IPs up front — your origin IP is never exposed.
- It's the enterprise product — Cloudflare's own TCP/UDP DDoS pipeline, not a reseller.
- Protocol-aware L7 (Cryo) — Minecraft-aware rate limits, connection scoring, auto-UAM above a CPS threshold.
- CryoLimbo verification gauntlet — suspicious joins prove they're human in a limbo before touching your backend.
- AntiVPN / proxy detection — flag or block VPNs, proxies and abused hosting ASNs at connect.
- Real client IPs on every plan — PROXY protocol v1/v2 for correct logs, bans and plugins.
- Geo-steered load balancing — round-robin / least-conn / weighted / geo, health-checked failover.
- Firewall + risk lists — country / ASN / CIDR / protocol / Forge / intent, composite rules, whitelist mode.
- Live player control — cross-PoP session list, kick, IP/username bans, fingerprint bans.
- Analytics — traffic, CPS, attack history, full connection logs with fingerprints.
- White-label — your brand on every MOTD and kick screen.
- API + webhooks — full REST API (OpenAPI), Discord/webhook alerts, Discord login feed.
