Now, I have no idea how this could be verified, sorry, but it's just getting on my nerves right now that I see every day a new kid that there's basically no possible way that they're 13 or above.
Now, I'm also always getting some messages from my friends on discord and other chats:
"I joined MC-Market when I was 12 but now I'm 13 so they can't ban me lOl".

Having some way to verify that you're 13 or above would help both 12 or younger kids (By making sure they wont see anything they shouldn't.), and the 13+ "teens".

This site was created for 13+ people, not for some kids.

Even this thread was just created regarding that this user joined MCM when he was 12 but now because he's 13 he can't be banned.

I realize that such thing would be hard to implement but come on.. these kids are a part of what's ruining this site.
Note: I'm not saying that all 12 or younger kids are immature and can't act like grownups, but, sorry, although most of them are.

If you disagree with this please write why. I would also love to hear some ways of age verification.

13 is a kid. You don't even have a solution to fix this. Why are you suggesting this?

I'm suggesting this to at least try to get some ideas to fix this, to bring awareness, maybe.
Sorry if I don't have a solution for this, but there must be some way to do so.
Also, 13 is technically a teenager.

What are you talking about, it's just that by a chance 95% of all new members happen to be exactly 18 ;)

Being 12 1/2 and 13 is practically the same. There's no massive boost in maturity between half a year... When you're 13 you're a kid. When you're 14 you're a kid. When you're 15 you're still a kid. The maturity difference from a 12 to 15 year old is noticeable . Although the 13 year old requirement isn't to keep "kids ( 13 is still a kid )" off the forum, the maturity difference between being 12 and 13 is so small ( in the majority of cases ) most people wouldn't actually be able to differentiate the two. The rule is set in place because of the law.

Oh boy you should read my posts that were made 1 year ago, I know I'm still a bit of a shit-poster now, but 1 year ago I achieved new levels of disrespect and immaturity , not to mention my English was crap ;)

1a. Not many people under 18 would submit a picture of their passport or government issued ID to verify their identity. That is for one stupid and second, there are 18-year-olds who wouldn't even want to give a random website a picture of their ID.
1b. In the U.S. most people don't even bother getting a state ID and they instead wait until they turn 15 and get a Driving Permit. Now there are other ways to prove your age I suppose but submitting a picture of government issued ID would be the easiest method.

2. Implementing a document based age verification system would be a mess for MC-Market. They are admittedly understaffed already and no one here would want to analyze pictures of ID cards all day, not to mention the legal implications of mandating members to provide a picture of their ID.

TL;DR- There is no need for this. It is more work for Mick/Justis and probably creates more legal implications than they really want to deal with. I have only ever given ID verification around four times at request and that includes G2A and PayPal which are trustworthy companies with full legal teams, and MC-Market is not a big company with a full legal team. Not saying I don't trust MC-Market, I am saying I don't think there is enough trust from the entire community to mandate ID verification.
