Updated the OP. Help spread positive thoughts through social media please. The country is still in devastation, so uniting together, despite beliefs, is going to be a key factor in helping pick up this country.

Actually, I am pretty sure that the states (Electoral Voters) Have a chance to change sides, (Democratic or Republican) sometime in December, granted I do not see Hillary winning from people changing, and I doubt many if any will change.

However, I am happy we have a republican in office now, and there will be no more free handouts that us working Americans have to pay for.

Yes I'm aware, but you do realize Clinton called a concession, meaning she gave up and gave Trump the automatic win. I doubt she'll have any slimmer of a chance.

I'm excited too. I think Trump actually will do some good, and do some things that are actually needed and have been needed for some time. No more free hand outs! Work for your living!

Agreed. People need to stop being so greedy, and want a "Free Pass" in life, because there isn't one, I have been told that since I was 10 years old, and look at me now 6 years almost 7 years later, I have my own job, and my taxes go out to those who choose not to work, do you really think I wanna work for someone who doesn't? That is Robbing at its finest.

Both sides of the election are god awful.

If you supported Hillary, you're blind but at least you are endorsing a candidate that knows what they're doing.

If you supported Trump, you're even more blind and probably don't give a shit about equality because it doesn't effect you.

Personally, I voted for the green party. And even if Trump wasn't elected. I was planning on leaving the country anyways since I'm going to school in another country lol.

A lot of people don't see through Trumps hate as much as people don't see through Hillary's lies.
Which is what is wrong with America. He only won because democrats can't come together.

PS- Most of the people that say they support Trump on the internet either are A. Not even old enough to vote, or B. Do not even live in the USA. My views typically fall under a conservative category while I still believe in equality and the prosperity of other cultures. But Trump does not follow any decent conservative views.

Will be fun to see what is going on in America over the next four years while I'm in a different country.

People saying "We're going to hell" is starting to get annoying. For one, they are overreacting. Two, he hasn't even been president yet

And nobody realizes Obama put the U.S. in debt by 70%

What scares me is how everything is republican now... Democrats have almost no say now (even though my family would consider ourselves as republican, I still disagree with some of their views).

Keep in mind, Democrats almost always hold presidency, Senate, House, and Supreme Court justices. Republicans have to stand by far too often without a voice. It's more than fair to give it to them, regardless the presidential candidate.

I feel like this is the only post in this thread that I can genuinely agree with.

Yes, both sides are awful and have their flaws. But all in all, at least Hillary has experience. And beyond that, at least she comes across as a normal human being and not as a hateful blob. And on that note, I'm extremely surprised that only one person in this thread brought up Trump's hateful nature. Any redeeming factors this man has in his intentions are swallowed up by his stance on race and equality. He's not a decent person.

In my opinion, Trump is like an egg. He may have some good ideas and intentions, but they're all on the inside. In order to get to the inside, you need to crack open his shell... his shell of repulsiveness and hate. This isn't something very easy to do. I can respect people like Nerd who are actually observant and well informed enough to see beyond the shell, but I don't think the common person is smart enough to do that. I'm like the founding fathers: I think people are dumb. What shocked me so much is, if people are so dumb, there's no way they could have seen beyond Trumps shell. They didn't vote for the possible good on the inside; no, they voted for the hatred on the outside. It has truly shocked me to see that there are that many hateful people in this country.

Personally, I would never vote for Trump. But now that he's going to be president, I'm not all doom and gloom about it; instead, I hope that he proves that the hate was indeed just a shell. I hope he proves that he wants what's best. I'm just not sure how he's going to do that.

That statistic is 100% false lol.
Need to do more homework on that.

While I 100% agree people are overreacting on it when he's not even president yet, but these people have every right to be mad.[DOUBLEPOST=1478836136][/DOUBLEPOST]

yeah I'd find it funny too if I was shot down like that

People don't realize what Trump will do for the US, instead people who didn't get their way go protest and scream, "He's Not My President!", burn flags, etc.

This was the very same way when Obama wasn't president.

No one realizes what Trump will do. You do realize the only reason people are protesting is the fact he climbed through media with just pure hatred and still managed to get elected.

It wasn't about his policies at all. It's the fact that America completely disregarded everything hes said and just wanted to elect him for his policies. When there were 6 other republican candidates that literally had the same ideas as he did just didn't spout hatred to manipulate media. People are ignorant for destroying America before hes even in office, but people are also ignorant for not seeing why they are doing this. It was a natural consequence.
It's not entirely based on the fact they didn't get their way.

The only real reason she lost was unintelligent people voting for Bernie even after he told them not to, and the swabs that actually wrote in Harambe.

I am a liberal, I did not like either candidate, but I voted based on my views (Clinton). The chance of a third-party winning was very very slim, and I did not like either third-party candidate as well. Every choice in this election had flaws. Some more-so then others. I, personally, saw no option that was good for the country.

You have Gary Johnson with his "Aleppo moment".

You have Jill Stein who believes Wi-Fi causes cancer.

You have Hillary Clinton with her emails.

You have Donald Trump with Trump University.

I am very skeptical (and scared to some extent) with President Trump. But I cannot change the outcome of this election. I am shocked that the US now has a leader in power who denies climate change, wants to ban Muslims, and I am more concerned about the cabinet he will choose.

I do find solace in remembering that the US is still democracy, and the people can make changes through petitions and by contacting a state representative.

There will be change for the US, some may like it, some won't, while I myself will disagree with things President Trump will do, I will give him a chance. I believe the country needs change and whether President Trump will make the right changes and decisions, we will have to see. The country is divided, and it does not help that Clinton has won the popular vote. This election has shown some flaws in the US electoral system, and hopefully President Trump will address it.

To very limited degrees, this election was a complete catastrophe.

For more reasons other than scandalous behavior.
By the looks of it, Hillary is more conservative than trump, and Trump is more liberal than Hillary.

With everything Trump is doing right now that he is the president-elect. It seems everything he has said in the media may have just been a plural to get an unnecessary amount of supporters and attention from every single media source.

All in all I believe Trump deserves the win but its still very clear that he has exposed a very dark part of the nation.

My hypothesis is soon conservatives will be regretting the fact they voted for him, and young liberals will be regretting all the terrible things they said about him. We shall see.

This is almost precisely how I feel. The only difference is that I think Trump will be a moderate president. A good president, but very moderate. I too feel that he's exposed a very dark part of the nation; people still voted for him despite all the hate he spouted throughout his entire campaign.
