2FA=Ban?

Title might be slightly exaggerated but essentially this is what happened to my account 2 days ago.

Short/ Point of this thread: There needs to be a way to contact Mc-Market support without loging into your account! Possibly a direct email listed at the bottom of the page or "contact us" form to fill. Apologies for the tag Justis but in suggestions section this would take Mick months to get to this and the issue in my opinion is quite urgent.

Long/ If you wonder why then let me tell you more...
Two days ago as usual each 30 days when loging in I got 2FA check so I went to check my emails and waited for the code but surprise... there were no email from Mc-Market. I then reloaded MCM login page and noticed an announcement: (I might have read it and closed it when it first appeared but it's probably been like 2 weeks ...don't really remember)

I was stunned at first trying to figure out this paradox. Naturally my next reaction was to try to contact support and get a help on this issue but it's not as easy as it sounds...in fact it's impossible if you cannot access your account. You cannot create a new thread in "Help and Support", "Contact us" leads to login page and there are no other means of contact that I could found.

Next I went to look for Mc-Market twitter and found a tweet briefly informing about the issue ...tweet which was posted almost 2 weeks ago. "Great, issue is still not fixed" I thought and left a reply along with other people. Needless to say I nor anyone else got any response.

After a while I figured I could try to get a hold of a staff member and I must say huge thanks to Ivain who helped me and I was able to log in again. I was lucky that I could contact staff member offsite and get this sorted out in timely manner but I am sure there are many people who have no idea of who to contact and how to sort this out...

I am not really surprised that this issue is taking so long to fix nor about the lack of information for members on how to sort this out and/or what to do to prevent you from being unable to log in ... or poor support from Mc-Market itself (lack of means to contact) I just hope this thread will save someone headaches on what to do and maybe even we will get a better way to contact a support.

Well, at least we got " We are working on it, thanks for your patience and understanding"

So if anyone is expecting 2FA check (email code) in nearest future just so you know... you might not be able to log back in anymore.

There should be SOME way to contact the staff-team without being logged in to the site, yes, but under no circumstance should this involve contacting staff-members on personal social media etc.
If it wasn't for the fact I consider MrAniman to be at the very least a friendly acquaintance, and this being a problem that could not be solved in another manner than contacting a staffmember directly, I would have ignored his request.
Any random members that contact me outside of MCM official channels for anything that could REMOTELY be solved without contacting me can expect to get ignored and/or blocked. I believe many other staff-members share this sentiment.
We're staff members while we're on this site. Outside of it, we're just other people.
Of course, enforcing this by manner of blocking would sit a lot easier with me if there was SOME official channel people could send messages to. The twitter account doesn't really qualify.

So yeah, ideally an email account that's connected with some on-site function that all staff-members can monitor sounds like a good idea. At least I'll have somewhere to point the people that come asking me about off-site stuff.

Last year I was blocked on MCM for like 3 months because of a forum spam thing they were using (I was IP banned). I couldn't even access the website. I feel your pain

Yes well by posting this thread I was mainly trying to inform other users of this issue rather than making a suggestion which would take months to take a look at and make a final decision ...that's why I decided to post it here.

And can I ask how would you contact MCM via Twitter? DM's are disabled and no one is replying to comments, Twitter is being used only for some announcements.
