Hi,

Me and my partner, Daniel Wood, are looking to purchase a fairly large Minecraft server. Our budget can go up to $500,000 (USD), although I am fairly sure there aren't many server owners who has a server that large on McM.
Obviously if you're server makes $10,000 a month we won't be spending $500k on the purchase so please don't try to play smart with us - offer us a price and we will negotiate from there.

Requirements:
Makes at least ~$10,000/per month.
Isn't going 'down' - playerbase is steady or on rise, and the same with donations.
Community wouldn't mind a change of management too much.

We have no interest in deleting old servers, just adding new ones - of course resets on Factions etc. will be done as per usual but Creative worlds etc. would stay.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

True this, I doubt anybody would give up a server that makes 10k a month, that would set somebody up for life. You could put a small portion of that money into making a server, 10k would easily set you up on a server, and then gradually use the rest of the money towards advertising. NOT little petty advertising, MASS advertising. You could go very far considering most server owners start with nothing.
If we receive no offers, that is what will happen.[DOUBLEPOST=1430054627,1430054576][/DOUBLEPOST]
My mom had like $200,000 (less than half of what you own currently), invested it, and now is owning a little over 20 houses for real estate. She rents them out to people so she doesn't lose money from the huge mortgage payments, and she's breaking even at the moment in terms of profit. However, in 13 years (which I won't even be around by then, probably having my own job a thousand miles away), she will be a millionaire.

If you have $500,000 to invest, invest it into real estate. Minecraft servers won't make you millionaires, IRL businesses will.
Arkham makes $200k a month, Mineplex makes 500,000 a month - say what? :p

I can see where you're coming from though.

Yeah we thought it would be the funniest thing if we made this post - no. Please don't post here if you don't have any offers to make that would contribute us - this post is clogged up with useless stuff as is.
Well let me ask why you feel spending this amount of money on something like a MC server which has no security, safety, or any form of commercial legal basis? Yes, you can have a registered company, but that does not involve the Minecraft server (even if company owned and maintained).

I don't get why people post so much bullshit comments on this thread. They are not claiming to give 500k for a server that earns 10k each month but they are just informing what their budget is. Do you really think if people are willing to invest that large amount of money in a server that they don't know what they are doing?

Minecraft servers can also make a lot of money if you do it right.

Good luck with finding a server that suits you guys.

Thanks.

I know that there a few server owners on this forum that make a good couple $k a month - obviously not worth anywhere near the $500,000 but nonetheless meet the requirements. Obviously I don't know them all but I was hoping they would see this thread and would message us; as for PM'ing other server owners we're already doing that but just wanted to let the other people who meet the requirements know and have a grab at the opportunity.

Read the thread - "requirements"

Personally I wouldn't drop upto 500k on a game server especially when said server(s) and game may not be played much in a few years, sure you may get money back but with that investment I personally would invest in a start up tech company or in a group of developers who can develop for minecraft along with other games...and eventually maybe your own game.

but to each their own.

Guys I doubt they have $500,000 sitting around, but, like most people, are prepared to take out a loan if need be.
And I don't think he plans to transact through PayPal either.. Probably bank account transfer, otherwise.

Just be careful with Minecraft servers.
I know when bloxParadise_ sold BraveMC to someone he basically trashed the server and a mediocre server went to shit.

My question is if someone is making $10,000 / month, how much would you be willing to pay for that?
I don't see anyone taking less than 2 years worth of profit ($240,000) if they're making that much, steadily.
And it doesn't sound like you want to pay that much or wait that long to get your expenses back.

In my opinion, just invest $100,000 into Google and in 10 years you'll have $1,000,000 (about the same profit as some server making $9,167 / month)

This is a GREAT idea, save like $50k for a really good server and another $50k for it's advertising. Invest like $100k into google or some shit. Save $200k for educations, houses etc, and a 100k for yourself ;)
Guys, like I said:
I doubt they have $500,000 sitting around, but, like most people, are prepared to take out a loan if need be.

Why don't you invest in a lot of smaller severs. You don't have to invest a lot, even 200 can do a ton. Then all the donations add up, and you could make a fair amount

If he wants to buy a server for this amount of money, let him be.
You guys are clearly not reading his post, as he clearly says that it is not very likely he will buy a server for 500k, but that will be the maximum amount he will go. If he has 500k, he probably already has went to college, a house, education, etc. A large minecraft server is just like a business, only it revolves around a video game. I was pretty thrown off when I saw this too, but if he is investing all this money, don't you think he has a plan for this? He probably has an idea to make a lot of money off of this and then invest into all of those ideas you listed above.
