Ability to up resources

Hello,

I believe that we should be able to up resources, similar to how we up threads. There isn't any reason that this shouldn't be implemented as right now its tedious that there is no good way to intentionally bump a resource that hasn't been bought for a while.

I would propose that this work exactly like bumping a standard thread. With the same 18 hour limit for users, 12 hour limit for business accounts. I think that when you bump a resource it should show up in the "Recent posts" section with a link to the resource thread.

I think when you bump rsources it should show in "Recent Resources" or maybe a new "Bumped Threads" category which I dont think thats possible with xenforo

I dont exactly understand that reply but I know xenforo well enough to say that you're wrong, its certainly possible.

Understandable. Joshua C is pretty knowledgable on the section and most everything I know, which isn't alot, has come from him.

This is very doable since you can just optimize the current UP addon instead of targetting threads to target resources, Jayson can surely do it, but despite the fact, this will only be moved on the bottom of the development list.
I won't consider this to be accepted unless they upgrade to xenforo 2.[DOUBLEPOST=1581363404][/DOUBLEPOST]To addon further, on the xenforo resources itself, there's no such addon like this one.
But I'm pretty sure one of ThemeHouse's addons lets you do this using on-site credits.

While I would support resource bumping feature and I think it would also reduce or completely remove the "insignificant/fake resource update" issue (update with sole intent to bump the resource) but it needs to be done correctly!

In my opinion it shouldn't be a good idea to allow to bump all your resources at once. I would say max 3-5 resources per 24h in my opinion would be a decent number. (since there are many users with 30+ resources and some even with 100+. If top resource creators start to bump all of their resources this feature would become useless to every other creator).

Your right, the updates which only have the purpose of bumping the resource are less than ideal and a misuse of the feature, I completely agree, yet another reason why this should be implemented.
